@leocg I’ve seen, that Vivaldi has been updated already, we‘re still waiting for the fixes in Opera. Hopefully Version 110 is already behind the doors.

RE: Opera 109.0.5097.80 stable updateBlogs
@leocg But they don't mention it on the changelog. I don't think, they'd do that without recurring on a newer version of Chromium.
I only see, that they were even more active on their security blog some months ago, telling us things like this:
https://blogs.opera.com/security/2024/01/update-your-browser-security-fixes-for-latest-chrome-zero-day-jan-2024/
So it really leaves us guessing that their version isn't affected, whereas there's a major concern with Chrome. -
RE: Opera 109.0.5097.80 stable updateBlogs
Why is Opera only on Chromium 123.0.6312.124? Since then some major exploits have been made public by Google, which is on 124 for quit a time already.
Why does Opera give us an update like this but leaves us users unprotected like this? Can someone explain? -
RE: Email and Calendar Use - Google is Bye ByeLounge
@shokaree You can use your Gmail account and the workspace features within Opera, as you can use Microsoft tools, although I don’t know, if that’s somehow limited. As Opera is built on Chromium like Chrome or Edge it should work more or less flawless.
I use Gmail and calendar. If you want more privacy check out Proton. If you like a browser with built in email and calendar tools try Vivaldi. It‘s made by Former Opera employees. But even then you should have a host for calendar and email. -
RE: [Duplicated]changing search engine to StartpageOpera for Mac
Or you can just add startpage.com to your speed dials or set it up as your homepage as well. The same goes with every other search engine that doesn’t come preinstalled like Ecosia.
