@burnout426 I guess I should say thanks to Opera for finally implementing this feature, but I'm choking on those words a bit because it took 7 freakin' years to get it done.

RE: Select multiple tabs and drag to a new windowSuggestions and feature requests
@panicpug said in Select multiple tabs and drag to a new window:
It's also super weird, that even with the new "islands" feature it's not possible to drag and drop an island into a new window, still only single tabs and nothing else.
I was thinking the same thing. I have a cautious hope that now that islands have been implemented, a future update will allow you to move an island to a new window, but considered that I made this request 6 years ago, I'm not holding my breath.

@burnout426 Thank you for this information. I'll look into it.

RE: Select multiple tabs and drag to a new windowSuggestions and feature requests
I had been using a Chrome extension called "Tab Scissors" as a work around to this lack of functionality in Opera, but that extension no longer exists, and I haven't been able to find a comparable extension. The lack of ability to move multiple tabs to a new window seriously limits the usability of Opera. I don't want to switch to another browser--there is much that I like about Opera--but I just can't keep using it the way that it is.

RE: V7 SessionsOpera add-ons
@zapad3000 said in V7 Sessions:
V7 Sessions disappeared from side panel. Tried to reinstall - did not help. It is not visible in V7 Extension Manager but it is in Opera Extension and when I turn off V7 Session there and turn on again it appeared in Side Panel but for this page only. When I close page, there is nothing on other pages. What to do? Where dig?
I had to uninstall and reinstall Opera yesterday, and now I'm having the same problem. Does anyone know a solution?

Is there an updated solution to this problem? I don't have an Opera profile folder and I can't find any .ldb files. Thanks.

RE: Amazon Promotion ExtensionOpera for Windows
@burnout426 said in Amazon Promotion Extension:
If you just have the icon where the actual extension hasn't been installed, goto https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/amazon-for-opera/ and install the extension. Then, remove the extension. That should get rid of the icon and hopefully stop it from coming back.
This solution worked for me. Thanks.

RE: Amazon Promotion ExtensionOpera for Windows
@deandog I appreciate the suggestion, but I've done that and it keeps coming back.

RE: Amazon Promotion ExtensionOpera for Windows
I do not want or need the Amazon sidebar extension. It causes extensions that I use regularly and want to see to be pushed down off screen. I can hide it, but it keeps coming back. Not cool. I would like to be able to do more than hide it--I want to remove it completely. I've been very happy with Opera for a few years now, but I will switch browsers if this kind of crap continues.

@InfraDelta I have the same question. Did you ever find an answer? Thanks.

RE: How to delete devices and/or bookmarks from Opera Sync?Synchronization
@sybaris6caesar I have the same issue. I hope someone is able to provide a solution. Most of my synced bookmarks are "Trash Bookmarks," so I'd really like to get rid of those.

RE: V7 SessionsOpera add-ons
@darwin4ever The simplest way to save a session is to click the V7 Sessions icon in the URL bar, then click "Save session." (The "Save current window" button has not worked for me since July 2019.) If the icon is missing, click on the cube-shaped "Extensions" icon and make sure the V7 Sessions icon is pinned to the toolbar. Alternative, click the sidebar icon then click the "Save session" icon on the top left--it looks the same as the V7 Sessions icon.
To restore a session, use the sidebar icon.

RE: V7 SessionsOpera add-ons
@vux777 I'm still having the problem that other people were discussing back in April and May: clicking on "Save Current Window" does nothing.
Windows 10 Home version 10.0.19041
Opera version 72.0.3815.186
V7 Sessions version 3.3.3 -
RE: improving dark skinOpera for Windows
I agree that this is a problem with the dark theme; I can't tell which tab is the current one.

RE: A strange thing with OperaOpera for Windows
@blackbird71 Thanks for your reply. I've also been in touch with Malwarebytes support and they also thought the problem was with one of the extensions, but weren't sure which one. I removed my translation extension (didn't like it much anyway), but my trial of Malwarebytes premium just expired, so unless I pay for the premium version, I have no way of knowing if that was indeed the extension causing the problem. Thanks again.

RE: A strange thing with OperaOpera for Windows
I'm not sure if this is related, but I'm having a similar problem with Malwarebytes giving me a "Website blocked due to malvertising" message every few minutes. The IP address for the blocked website is 163.172.20.152. It's an outbound connection on port 80.

RE: V7 SessionsOpera add-ons
Unfortunately, hasn't been updated in over 3 years. Updates to Opera seem to have broken this extension. 9 times out of 10 the "Save current window" button does nothing. This has been a problem for several months now. Recently the appearance of the menu for restoring sessions has changed; this menu sometimes becomes unresponsive. In particular, it is difficult to access Auto-Sessions. Clicking on the clock icon will open auto-sessions, but then the menu switches back to regular sessions with the "back" button in the top bar, unresponsive. When using Opera's dark theme, the second half of the websites on the Auto-Sessions list appear in dark gray text on a black background (unreadable).

RE: V7 SessionsOpera add-ons
This extension has been essential to my internet browsing, but for the past couple of weeks the "Save current window" option has not been working; I can only save the session. I tried uninstalling Opera and reinstalling all extensions, but that has not solved the problem.

RE: restoring www after crashOpera for Windows
@e51ja said in restoring www after crash:
@leocg so? can you add this funcionality? I think that the possibility of recovering tabs after browser failure should be one of the basic functionalities ...
Agreed. It's one of the features that I miss from Chrome.
Until Opera adds an automatic crash recover feature, you can try installing the V& Sessions extension and enabling auto-sessions. You can usually use auto-sessions to restore your tabs after a crash.

@roman-five @kreesr
Thanks for the replies. I have version 17; it doesn't have the option to manage exclusions.
