I have tried sync but that didn't work. I see the most of my speed dials are available but that is laborious to move. Is there a way to move the ones you want enmasse instead one at a time?

I am certain my problem has been addressed before but I cannot find it. I purchased a new computer. It has Windows 10 version 21H1. Opera version 77.0.4054.203. I used Laplink to migrate all programs and settings etc to the new computer. But 3 of my Speed dials made it. It looks as if most if not all of my bookmarks did come across. But I don't know how to get them to show up in speed dials.

Opera saves new speed dial icons to the top left position. I want to move them to the end of my speed dial list. When I would click and hold on an Icon I can move it to the bottom of the page but the page will no longer scroll to the end. Is there a way to do this? What I do now is make the speed dial list as small as I can with the (-) key and then I can move it almost to the end.

I added a new speed dial and wanted to move the icon to the bottom of the list but when I moved it to the bottom of the page the page did not automatically scroll up. I had to make the page of speed dials so small that I could see them all on one page, then I could move the speed dial icon to the bottom of the list.

Well that explains it, so is there anyway to sync data to an Opera browser for Blackberry phones if Mini is not the most current browser for BB phones what is?

Does link work with Opera Mini on a Blackberry Torch 9800? When I try to link to my account it says there is something wrong with my network. But when I use the check network in settings it says it is ok.

To get to properties in the taskbar icon right click on it then in the window that opens right click on the Opera icon the properties will show up to click on there

Well setting to "Maximized" window did help for a while but not long. Now it is back to always opening to a "Standard" window and Maximized seems to have no affect. Is this a bug? I see this behavior in both Win 8.1 (touch screen) and
Win 10 (touch screen). It's not a big problem but kind of annoying, is there any fix?

blackcoder: To answer your question once I set it to Max it will stay there unless I shut down or restart windows then it comes up minimized. Once maximized it will stay that way until a reboot. However, setting the desktop icon to maximized did fix it.

Thanks to the both of you for waking up my memory! It has been a long time since I had to set the desktop icon to open a program maximized that I completely forgot about that setting. Most programs will remember that setting when you close them and ignore the setting in the desktop icon. So, I just didn't think about it until you reminded me. If you don't know it already, memory is NOT like wine and doesn't improve with age. That would be good if you wouldn't remember the things you don't want to remember but it doesn't work that and seems you forget the things you would like to remember. But to be philosophical about it getting older beats the alternative.

To "Anykey" I do have Ccleaner but didn't know about that setting also. I don't need to try that option as option 1 worked. But thanks for the info.

Well, not for me!

When ever I shut down or restart my computer win win 8.1 & 10 Opera 26 always starts minimized. Is this fixable?

If you use Ghostery to prevent spying on your website visits that could be the problem. I recently discovered it prevented me from using some embedded links.

The blocking was back but I have actually found the culprit, it was Ghostery. Apparently they had an update which blocked the popup when I clicked on the embedded link for chat on the Dish network support page, and other pages. I put that page's address in the Ghostery whitepaper list and it is now working fine. I'll just have to watch out for this behavior. But, at least I now know how to fix it. I could just turn off Ghostery but it blocks websites from tracking me and somehow I just don't like that as it just leads to more ads. I'm just sick of ads. That's why we DVR all the network shows and many cable/satellite only channels. Some channels like AMC have become impossible to watch without using your DVR. I mean it's 5 minutes of program and 10 minutes of ads! UGG!!

How does Opera reconstruct it as it was? There must have been a backup that was clean?

HOLY COW I found the answer. I was going to practice transferring all my data and bookmarks to the version of Opera Next I have on this computer which was working ok. Well first I tried transferring "local Storage", then I tried Next and it didn't work. Obviously there was something in that folder that was corrupt. So I just deleted the contents of of that folder. Then Next worked ok and on top of that it seems Opera restored the data that was in the folder. So I deleted all the data in the "Local Storage" folder of Opera 26 stable and the same thing happened, now Opera works fine and all the data is back in the folder. I don't understand what that folder is for or how it works but that fixed the problem.

Recently Opera 26 (stable) has stopped being able to open some but not all embedded links. When I click on them nothing happens. I know the problem is probably with this installation of Opera as other versions of opera in other computers work fine and I also have Win 10 installed in a virtual box on this computer and opera 26 doesn't have the same problem. I have done a reinstall without deleting the data but that didn't fix it. I also removed bitdefender as I read in a post here that it conflicted with Opera 26, that didn't help. I wanted to install Opera 26 as a second instance but it wouldn't do it as it used the folders of the defective Opera and there was no option I could find to change it. So I guess my only option is to do a totally fresh install and then try to transfer back bookmarks etc. I am wondering if I make Opera Next the default browser if the new installation of Opera 26 will get bookmarks, speed dials, personal data, auto fill and maybe passwords. Is this possible?

I just read on WebUpd8 that Opera has released a new Opera 25 beta for Linux. But the link takes me to Windows version. Does anyone know if there is and where is the Opera 25 beta for Linux?

When either Opera 12.16 or 24 developer is running and I close the lid on my HP laptop and let it sit for say 5 or more minutes, then when I open it up a lot of strange things may be going on. First off my computer is NOT set to sleep or do anything else when I close the lid, however, the screen does go off. The strange things it does are somewhat random, it may include activating Dash, or if Gmail is running the compose screen is up sometimes many compose screens are open. This evening a new issue with compose screens, one was open and another kept opening and closing. Dash is the most common screen open but sometimes home is open. This does not happen with Chrome active only either Opera. Is this an Opera problem, Ubuntu problem or HP problem. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas as to what is going on?
