This feature was so annoying. Now I wish to switch off the start-up sound when a new installation is done or starting opera...
I disabled it for this installation, but I wonder what the next update will do...

Almost forgot:
I have 5 browser total on all my PCs/ Laptops which are out of sync (Since my wife also uses the same sync account so we can use each our own browsers with preferred settings and still see what the other thinks is interesting).
Do you know any software which could compare the JSON file of Opera?
I was trying to use Linkman for this job, but it seems not to see all the bookmarks.... Maybe a corruption of the Jason file...
Was trying to do a readout of the file in Excel, but a lot of manual labour to do due to my nesting of folders.

@burnout426 Yes using sync. And at present it seems not to work (for about 1/2 year it came to light when I Really needed something on my other PC).
Was this a major change? With this rapid version number increase one looses track...
It took Opera from 1 - 12 ages compared to the later versions...
Any clues how to fix sync? (Even exporting to HTML is no option: Bookmark count is 33000+ but on export I only get around 6500...)

Just want to put my voice here too:
I upgraded from V66 to 67 and my Speeddials are gone too...
What strikes me: I seem to have now 3 Computer with the same name (The one where Speeddials disapeared)!
For some reason Opera seem to think it is a different computer and places the speed dial in a separate folder.
Seems to have also happened on the previous upgrade, since I found some more speeddials in that 2nd folder as well. Opera seems to be copying the speeddials in the new folder, but seems to have been interrupted from doing so and therefore some or all speeddials are missing?

Anyway, Solution:
Dragging them over to the "new" (same name) computer at least solved the Speeddial issue for me.
But it is not nice.
It was scary (some research was saved in speeddials and sync seems to be also not working right...)

Absolutely agree. I used to be able to maximise (by dragging) to same size as my small laptop screen. This is really important to get back for me. I work on my main monitor and watch something on the pop-out on the laptop/ side screen. Especially since the laptop sreen is small, I need to squint now with this new "feature".
I know I can also drag out a window and then maximise it. But this is just bad if I accidentally close my main opera windows before the "Video" window.... I have lost quite some tabs this way...

Just curious: What does CTRL+WIN+S do? It does nothing on my system.
I just use the "Print screen" button which also can be found on any keyboard and dump the result in Irfanview so I can cut it to size to what I need.

Agreed. But I also would like to see the flow integrated i.e. the normal Opera Browser on i.e. Android. Why do I need a separate Browser for this function? This way it would be more like a sync and therefore many more devices should be possible.

@operauser369 Totally agree. But why restrict yourself to show in folder? I would also like to see something like you can see in the Explorer view when searching, like this:

Also: In the raw data, there is the ADD_DATE already in the data! Why is the date added not visible in the overview? At least give some insight how old an Bookmark is (Mine come still from the very first opera which was ad sponsorred. I think this was way back in 1998-2002? So I have some REALLY old bookmarks
And of course: Make them sortable by any of the 4 headers! This way one easily can find and identify duplicated or see if the source is the same/ same website address.

I very much like the idea and I am using it to provide some basic security.
Some comments on usage:
The page that was visible on exit will still be visible on restart of opera, just the pop-up asking for password on top of it.
If you are quick and have a slow computer you can still switch tabs before the pop-up comes up to ask for the password enabling somebody to see the page.
It seems not possible to change password (I guess uninstalling and re-installing is the answer).

Feature suggestion:

• When Opera starts, make it load a new tab (speed dial) in this way another person at least can't see the open tabs.
• Would be great if the password would be prompted for if X amount of time has passed:
  I often never shut down my PC, just hibernate it along with Opera. So Opera is most of times not locked. A timer would make sure if the PC is long enough in hibernation or unused that Opera is locked again.

Question: Why do you need access to search results?

Just wanted to add my voice that there are quite a number of features which are missing which have been really good. The "read" tabs being just one of them.

Also add to old functions that are great but still missing:

• Tab stacking!
• Note field in the bookmark section (SO many comments of mine have been lost from the old bookmarks...)
• It is very cumbersome to organise the bookmarks. Not possible to add 1 page twice in the bookmarks quickly (since it would apply to 2 topics)
• Separate Notes function which can sync to the other Opera browsers as well (would love to have this back, but also for the Opera Mobile browser (wasn't there before either)

Hi in standard Opera there is a white and a black theme.
This theme switch seems to be missing in Opera GX.
I prefer the brighter coloured themes...

Together with the gripes of the other topic I have just posted I am about to have Opera GX unistalled...
Opera (also the normal one) seem to get a bit unreliable at times (right now i.e. the "Tabs" window is not always visible on the sidebar. And if it is, it only shows the current installation, not my other 5 Opera installations. (same and other PCs).
I still remember and have used Opera LONG time back, when it still was a commercial product with banner ads on the top right corner or you had to pay for it.
I believe "Flow" is a great idea, but is a dead end since it is requiring a different browser on Android.
I rather would have "Tabs" working in the mobile version (maybe even linked once you "browse on" from this tab?), so I also can continue working when on the mobile, not necessarily thinking about it to manually send it to flow (which sometimes seems to lose the connection and you can only reconnect with the mobile on hand which is not that great (considering I have a Login name for my stuff to be synced anyway...)
From Opera 12.0 I also really miss the notes/ memo function and comments possibility in the bookmark.
I would rather see this have a comeback, but please also sync it to the mobile version of Opera (With the notes function me and my wife where doing most of our wedding planning

I installed Opera GX in the hope to find a fast browser compared to the standard Opera and to allow me some control how much resources Opera is consuming when it is open in the background (which I mostly have, including during training sessions I give.)
However, especially if you have the regular Opera browser open, it slows down partially to a crawl, only after it is open for some time will things return to normal. Not sure what is causing this.

I have to agree. On the SAME machine I have Opera as well as the new gaming Opera GX.
Sync took quite a while to happen. I can only see the current browser tabs even so I have over 8 Operas linked to this 1 account (since I have mostly 2 Opera browser per machine).
As for the tabs selection visible:
This screenshots is from the same machine, different Opera Version. One shows the tabs selection, the other one does not (but on both it was switched on before...)

@leocg Not a solution but a suggestion:
Would be good if the flow webpages could be like in a history visible on this page (as long you did sync, this should be there too)

What nobody did mention:
When you add the page to bookmarks (This could even be via your favourite button adding to Speed dial page!), you have the option to select a tumbnail picture of your choice!
The available pictures are the ones that are available on the website. It even includes a miniature view of the website.

@leocg I guess he is referring to the bookmarks bar, which you can hide or show, but Autohide is not an option (I am also a bit annoyed by that, because hiding is easy, but un-hiding... you need to go into the setting (and if there is a shortcut, I cannot remember it when I need it...). It would be good to have the menu item also visible when you right click in the address bar.
