RE: Autofill issues with password managersOpera for Android
Opera is horrible in that aspect.
It asks me if I want to remember the password, then the next hour it already forgot -
RE: [Solved]Add-ons for Opera BetaOpera for Android
Firefox supports addons.
Try it to see if your addon is supportedI almost completely replaced opera by now

RE: Set Opera as Assistant not available now?Opera for Android
Yeah... Harass anyone who complains and Never gets heard (as everyone who posted here). That will surely make Opera evolve.

RE: Set Opera as Assistant not available now?Opera for Android
I'm also waiting for this. Will keep flooding this forum until the bastards bring back what they took.
Meanwhile, I posted a workaround above to have it back. In a way.

RE: Opera for Android 68Opera for Android
@miyukiwork said in Opera for Android 68:
We are happy to announce the release of Opera for Android 68
Well
You are happy
I hated it !
Here's the bug:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/54992/long-press-on-tabs-view-button-doesn-t-open-a-new-tab/1
And a complaint placed by a person, reinforced by many others, long time ago, was not resolved

RE: Long press on tabs view button doesn't open a new tabOpera for Android
It's time Opera copy the good things from other browsers, not the crap from other browsers.
-
RE: Set Opera as Assistant not available now?Opera for Android
I may have found a workaround.
- Download an older Opera version (one that had the assist function)
- Enable the assist on Android
- Then update Opera.
Android will keep the assist function, even though Opera made the stupid choice to remove it.

RE: Long press on tabs view button doesn't open a new tabOpera for Android
If that "behavior" is intentional, it has to go back ASAP to the hole it came from.
By the way, Opera 67.0.3508.63081 doesn't have this disgusting defect.

Long press on tabs view button doesn't open a new tabOpera for Android
I woke up this morning, and to my sadness and anger, this bug came up on Opera:
Yesterday, if long pressed the tab view button, Opera would immediately open a new tab.
Now, when I long press this button, an useless menu appears, making this thing look like the reason I abandoned Chrome and spit on it's grave a year ago.
Please fix this bug quickly !

RE: Built-in adblock doesn't work correctlyOpera for Android
Your points may or may not hold truth
In the end, it's up to the user.
In my case, the addon ability overweights the app's... weight and unstability. The block element function of uBlock, for instance, allows me to remove so much about the pages I visit frequently, that it gets more lightweight than Opera
I can even remove paywalls !Well...
What we probably agree on is: good bye Opera
-
RE: Built-in adblock doesn't work correctlyOpera for Android
I also recommend Firefox, for the exact same reason:
It supports the uBlock addon, which allows to block any element on the page.
It also supports custom ad list and tracking list.Opera is way behind on this area. Way behind. A lost war

RE: Adblock feature request: allow to block elementsSuggestions and feature requests
@q153513851
Both the solutions can coexist
And until they add that possibility, you can apply an adblock to your phone. If rooted, I recommend AdAway. You manage the sources there.

Adblock feature request: allow to block elementsSuggestions and feature requests
There should be an option to block what the user will consider an advertisement.
Pictures, paywalls, or java buttons, for instance
There is such a thing on firefox. It's called element blocking
But since opera is lightyears behind on the addon area... Here we are.

RE: Opera for Android 63Opera for Android
Very nice.
Now where is the assist function that you broke months ago and didn't fix yet !?
Glitches first, features second !

@jackob11 To override this screenshot limitation, all you have to do is install Disable Flag _Secure Xposed module

RE: Broken function: view imageOpera for Android
Very few images have this Open Image option.
The banner on this forum has it.
Any picture from google's images don'tThe option to open on a new tab is also available on very few pictures. Google again.
To be more precise: it was available for any picture in opera 62.2. Not anymore on 63.XAnyway... Just go back to the way it was before.
Don't insist on something that got clearly worse. Stop changing what is good. This company went far enough when decided to remove the Assist button.

RE: Broken function: view imageOpera for Android
Thank you.
That helpsBut the missing option use to open the image on a new tab (or at least there was an option for new tab)
