@donq Yes, did toy with the idea of adding a pic of my dog, but thought I might get a better result posting here anyway.

Screen seems frozen after screen sleepOpera for Windows
When my PC blanks its screen after 20 mins or whatever the setting is (the PC doesn't sleep, it just blanks the screen/turns the monitor off), when I awaken the PC, the last tab in opera is frozen, you can't scroll, refresh etc. To get the tab to operate normally I have to select another tab, then go back to the frozen one and all is well.
However, the frozen tab still seems to be operating in the background in the frozen state. If I, for example, go back a page using mouse gestures, then do the tab swap thing as described above, when I go back to the frozen tab it is displaying the page I was going back to, not the page it was on when it froze. So, Opera is still operating, it just isn't updating the tab that was selected when the comp turned the monitor off.
PC has an AMD Ryzen 2400GE and integrated graphics, no graphics card, all drivers are installed and up to date. This only happens on Opera, no other browser or any other app.
Note, I tried submitting this as a bug report but Opera requires you to add images, there are no useful images to show the problem, so posting here instead.

RE: Speed dials missing from address barOpera for Windows
@leocg Thanks for that, didn't realise they had deliberately removed them, that's pretty annoying I have to say. I wish all browser manufacturers would stop changing things just for the sake of it or to be seen as cutting edge, when those changes are a step backwards.
My partner has recently dumped Opera and gone back to firefox because of compatibility issues with some sites (her South African net banking simply wouldn't work in Opera) and I have to say, if they keep messing with the interface, I might do the same.

RE: Speed dials missing from address barOpera for Windows
Ok, seems other people were having trouble with the new bookmarks panel or just didn't like how it works, disabling it puts it back to how it worked before, go to opera://flags/#bookmarks-panel and set to disable.

Speed dials missing from address barOpera for Windows
When I opened Opera this morning and clicked on the address bar, the speed dial tiles that normally pop up, didn't, they don't show now. Speed dials are still there on a new tab, they just won't show in the address bar. Restarting didn't fix it, and Opera is up to date (65.0.3467.48). Anyone else come across this?
Further to this, just noticed that the bookmarks flyout menu (when clicking on the bookmarks icon on the left-hand menu bar) has problems with the bookmarks in my bookmarks bar. The icons are correct, but most of the site titles are listed as "unknown" and many of the URLs show up as just the domain extension, eg ".com.au" instead of the full URL. Hovering over them shows the full URL and clicking them works correctly, just they are displaying incorrectly. Note that the speed dials and "Other bookmarks" all display correctly, with website titles and URLs listed correctly.
It looks like there were some updates yesterday that broke some things...

RE: [Solved]Google search tools bar not working in OperaOpera for Windows
Ok, just remembered I've fixed weirdness like this before by deleting cookies, so deleted all google cookies and problem is gone.

RE: [Solved]Google search tools bar not working in OperaOpera for Windows
Was currently on 63.0.3368.107, just updated to 64.0.3417.61 but issue remains. Will see if it is still there after a system reboot (when I can do that, too much open at the moment).

[Solved]Google search tools bar not working in OperaOpera for Windows
As of this morning I have noticed that if I do a google search and want to refine the results using the search tools, such as selecting a date range etc, I can't. I click the tools button and the tool headings appear, but the pull-down menu on the tools don't work, clicking them does nothing. A restart made no difference. The tools work in Chrome and other browsers, so not a google issue.
Anyone else come across this?

RE: Can't log in to bbpress forum, but only with OperaOpera for Windows
@ledsalesoz Further to this, managed to get Opera to log in by going to a thread I hadn't visited in a while and logged in on that page. Going back to the forum main page dropped me into the non-logged in screen again. So, closed the forum tab, deleted browsing history, cache etc, but problem still persists.
It seems as if, for the main page of the forum site, Opera simply refuses to reload the page from the remote server and instead is caching it from somewhere, even though FF has no such problem.

Can't log in to bbpress forum, but only with OperaOpera for Windows
We have a forum using an old version of bbpress at http://www.ata.org.au/forums/ that I am admin of. I usually use Opera to log in, but since the last update a week or so ago I can no longer use Opera to log in there, it just drops me back to the login page (username and pwd are correct, no warnings).
I can log in with Firefox no problem, only Opera seems to be having the issue. Opera is currently version 51.0.2830.55.
I have deleted all cookies for the site, cleared cache at the same time, still no go. Oddly, I deleted a spam post this morning from a thread, and in FF it is gone, in Opera, even with a forced refresh, it still appears. It's as if Opera is caching the login page even after cache has been deleted.
All pretty odd, anyone come across this before or know of a fix?
Btw, I haven't had this problem in Opera with any other site, but the site mentioned has no probs with FF...
Edit: Have just updated to 52.0.2871.40 and still same problem.

RE: Certain websites display incorrectly in latest OperaOpera for Windows
Ok, sorted it, a blank profile fixed it as the adblocker is turned off by default. It seems those two sites have been poorly set up and if you block ads you also destroy the complete site structure. So not an Opera problem, but a website developer stuffup, it just happened to occur on two sites I regularly visit on the same day. Maybe both sites use the same backend and they were probably recently updated at the same time.
Definitely something to be aware of...

RE: Certain websites display incorrectly in latest OperaOpera for Windows
Thanks, yes, still does it with extensions off, I haven't tried a clean profile, if Opera can break itself that badly, I suspect I will go back to FF. I didn't realise there was a V49, just did an update check (via "About Opera") and seems that is returning an error too, so it hasn't updated automatically.
Anyway, will install the latest version manually and see if that fixes things.
[Edit]
Ok, upgraded to V49 and update checking is fixed, but the broken website issue isn't.
Will try a clean profile and see what happens...

Certain websites display incorrectly in latest OperaOpera for Windows
Just noticed that since Opera updated to V47 (47.0.2631.55), a small number of sites have serious problems. If I try space.com or livescience.com, both sites start loading and most of the page displays correctly, then the page refreshes and it's as if the entire structure is gone, I just see text links and some of the text (usually headline or banner text) is massive, taking up half the page or more. The sites are unusable.
This has only been happening the last day or two, has anyone else seen that? I haven't added any new extensions or anything, no changes to opera that I am aware of. The sites display correctly in Firefox etc.
Most other sites display correctly. An example of the problem is below...
