I can notice it usually whenever I closed my browser with a Youtube video playing on the active page. Then when you restart the browser, the ads before the video starts to play.
And I also think, but I'm not sure that you need to have alot more than just the browser open, so the RAM gets almost clogged up to like 90% or so. (Alltho that hardly happens nowadays with how efficient Windows and other programs work, suspending stuff.)
I agree! One feature that native adblock needs is to block ads that escape the filters. Example: An ad evades the filters, so I want to block it by right-clicking on those ads and selecting a "Block this element" option. That's all.
@kassandra1 Because this is not how things work. Site isolation is a big change in how browser deal with pages and it had been causing issues that needed to be fix so the feature could be enabled by default.
Chrome only enabled it by default recently too.
It's heavy and buggy, like seriously, it can consume more RAM/CPU than any other componen in the browser. So:
Try these as alternative.. sort of..
OR get for example Google Keep or Yandex Notes/Keep.
Vivaldi has a tremendous markup built in Notes feature and one can stuff it full of even images... But I don't see V7 Notes doing that.
Right-click in the field on startpage.com, click "create search engine". You can assign it a keyword too like sp if you want so that when you want to search view the address field, you just type sp term.
You can't make it the default where you type in the address field and just press enter to search like you can with the default-specified search engines, but besides that, it'll work for you. The default ones have keywords too and if you always use the keywords with those even when you don't have to, *having* to use a keyword for a search isn't a big deal.
Guess it'd be nice to be able to choose a custom search engine as the default. That would solve your issue.
@concretable said in Suggestion for bookmarks bar:
There is too much space between the bookmark buttons. So much space is being wasted. There should be a minimal amount of space between those buttons.
I have the same idea. Why this space? It's not necessary at all.
