Like Brave android browser, I suggest you to add this feature as it allows the user to start watching a certain video on a website in Opera browser, then change tabs in Opera or even hide Opera and then open another app (Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter,...) and the audio of the video continues to be played, with the control (to go back, to play/pause and to next) through the notification: https://i.imgur.com/Es3gNyO.jpg

Just as it is possible in the desktop version of Opera, where the user can add other search engines besides the traditional Google, Bing, DuckDuckgo, Yahoo,… This feature should also exist in Opera Android App and Opera Mini, because in the Android version only It is possible to use one of the search engines that are already pre-registered by Opera team.

@yakuzakyuu This issue momentarily resolves when you minimize the Opera browser and then maximize it again. Clicking on the "Menu" tab also doesn't work when this bug happens.

@werby You can download and install Aurora Store from F-Droid. It is a copy of PlayStore. You can download everything from PlayStore without a Google account. I think it would be better for you than waiting every APK to be release from all Android apps that you use.

It is currently not possible to select a default search engine for regular windows and another search engine for private windows in Opera android browser and Opera Mini. Example: I want to set Bing as the default search engine in the traditional window and DuckDuckGo as the default search engine in the private windows, for privacy reasons. Today I can't do that as I can only select one default search engine.

1. In Brave android browser it is possible to block scripts from a certain website. This is very important as it has ad detectors that go beyond the ad blocking and prevent the page from being viewed (paywall). @rahmad0199-0 The Opera team is small compared to Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and others. Creating a browser with its own engine is a lot of work, that's why the vast majority of browsers use the Chromium engine. Even Microsoft, with its huge team, preferred to rely on Chromium for Microsoft Edge.

I believe it is much better for the Opera team to make improvements to the Opera browser interface and if it detects bugs in the engine, report it directly to Chromium project, because then the improvement goes to everyone at once in the next engine update (Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, Vivaldi and many others). Back in Presto, Opera was too slow. If you detect any bugs or have suggestions in the Chromium engine, report them to the team.

It is important to make it clear that my Kubuntu's default language is Portuguese and not English and the other browsers on my computer (Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Edge) are in Portuguese. Only in Opera this bug happens.

@johnbrook Now it is more than 50% of CPU

Opera is using more than 25% CPU in the process "opera --password-store=basic --enable-crashpad" every time I open the browser and it stays open whenever Opera browser is open. It's impossible to use the browser like that.
