@bawghcbewgff Ok, so it's not just me. And I hate all of the other browsers. One step forward, 3 back with each update.

So, I stepped away from my computer last night for a few minutes.
When I returned, Opera had somehow closed. When I tried to reopen it, it wouldn't do anything. I rebooted the computer and this time Opera loaded, but everything was gone, completely reset and it said it had updated.
Any idea what could've happened??
I had an old backup from January 2018 so had to revert back to that. Grrrrrrr
I am running Opera version 48.0.2685.52 (PGO).
Yesterday, in a live stream I watch, the chat wouldn't work, and I can't do much else with YouTube either. I just tried to log out but I couldn't even do that. All was fine Thursday night when I shut down the computer, then wouldn't work all day Friday and still not working today.
I have launched YouTube in 3 other browsers and they all work fine.
Was there an update after Thursday night? Is anyone else experiencing any issue with YouTube?
Hope someone can help!
I recently bought a new computer with Windows 10 64-bit and have the very latest version of Opera: 45.0.2552.812 (PGO)
My problem is with Adobe Flash Player. On any Facebook games I get this gray screen that says CLICK TO RUN ADOBE FLASH PLAYER.
Also, when I click to view a video on Facebook or other sites, it comes up with a blank black screen. In order to view the Facebook video I have to copy/paste the link for the video to work. Other sites I have to Shut down Opera and reopen.
Can you PLEASE tell me how to fix this so it doesn't happen anymore?
I just got a pop-up in Opera with nothing more than this:
Urgent Chrome update. Below it is a download link and a large google chrome logo.
Please BEWARE if you receive this as it is malware or a virus. Something similar is also happening with the Firefox browser.
DO NOT click on the download link. This is NOT how Opera does it's updates!
I had made a bunch of changes as far as sorting and organizing my bookmarks, had added newer bookmarks, created my own folder while doing so.
My computer crashed a few days ago and when I got on my newer computer, none of my changes or new bookmarks were there. It shows I have 3000+ bookmarks synced but again, none of my sorted bookmarks show as being sorted. Does it not do this?
Also, how often does syncing occur?
Suddenly a few days ago, links Outlook stopped opening. I changed my default browser to IE and links work fine.
What do I do to get them working in Opera again?
Some links I click on takes me directly to google search, other links give 404s or invalid errors.
Needing to do a new backup and I've never backed up the latest version of Opera before.
The Profile folder that is mentioned needing to be backed up, does this include unsorted bookmarks from Speed Dial as well as the bookmarks bar??
Do I just copy this folder back over when I do a recovery on my computer??
My apologies if this is already addressed somewhere. I did search and can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for.
I've seen the appdata folders mentioned.
What I'm wanting to be sure I back up are my speed dial, bookmarks, stash, settings, and anything else that's crucial.
