After the latest Opera upgrade, I now have no saved passwords. Did no one test the new version before putting it out? Looks like I'm going to have to make another browser my default, something I did not think I would ever do. Any suggestions?

RE: Wallpaper Keeps DisappearingOpera for Windows
Sorry for late response. I live where we were hit by the blizzard and also more ice/snow several days later. Power outages, etc.
I should have been more specific in my question, but the animated wallpapers I am referring to are Opera's own. And yes, they keep disappearing regardless of what I disable. This week one lasted for two whole days and I thought the problem was fixed but when I opened a new tab it was back to those colored, geometric shaped "default wallpapers" for want of better words. I had added nothing new by way of extensions, downloads from the Internet etc. This did not occur right after Opera's latest update (I have the latest version and am running Win 7 sp1) , but it began many days later so it had nothing to do with the update as far as I can tell.
Looking over these forums I haven't been able to find anyone else with the same problem. It is very frustrating as there are some beautiful wallpapers that Opera offers. It's not the end of the world of course, but the suddenness of the problem is something I do not understand Also it is unpredictable and seems to follow no pattern (i.e., after rebooting, shutting down etc.)
Thanks to both of you for replying. If no solution I guess I'll just have to learn to live with it. None of the wallpapers I have downloaded install themselves permanently. Each time I have to go back to the "install" button on the wallpaper itself. There are about five that still remain as installed but anything shortly after Christmas does not show up in the settings category.
Thanks and have a pleasant day.

Wallpaper Keeps DisappearingOpera for Windows
No matter what wallpaper I chose (usual an animated one) after a while, for no reason, it reverts back to one of the Opera default ones. This has happened with the last 4 wallpapers I've tried to use. It also occurs after I shut the PC off and then turn it on again. What gives?

RE: flash? No more Auto flash?Opera for computers
@leocg
When I try to use PicMonkey, it says Flash is not installed or is disabled. I hit the Activate button, and it just takes me to the Flash download page. Over and over again.
I use Kizoa for videos, it too asks me to install or activate Flash; if I hit activate it also takes me to the Adobe Flash download.
If I go to Firefox, I do not have a problem. Every one of those sites works as they should.
I refuse to use Chrome for a number of reasons, so don't know what is going on there (also Internet Explorer).I had recommended Opera to a number of people and now they are asking me what has happened. Somebody arbitrarily decided to just say OK, that's it. There are a lot of unhappy people right now. You ought to see the forum over at Adobe with people complaining about Opera and unsuccessfully trying to fix things.

Lousy way to do this. Whoever made the decision, Opera is the one ending up looking bad.
And I also found the following:
"Note: Adobe will stop supporting Flash at the end of 2020" That's three years from now.
I'm usually don't get worked up like this but honestly this has been causing angry users who did not receive any warning or explanation. Glad to know it wasn't just me. I can remember when the Web used to be fun.... -
RE: flash? No more Auto flash?Opera for computers
I too am frankly disgusted that Opera chose to do this. I have several photo editing/video edit software that uses Flash. I was just ready to open up one of them to work on a photo and learn that "Flash is not enabled".
Frankly, I am about to change to another browser (even though I don't want to) as my default. I loved Opera up to this point.
Why didn't you take into consideration that many of us still are relying on it? Very presumptuous of you. Who has the time to "accept flash". Indeed, I don't even get a notice to accept it. So what am I supposed to do now?
