My current Opera v90 is corrupted. I need to save Speed Dial/Prefs, uninstall and install a new, clean copy of Opera, and use the old Speed Dial files. All I can find are some speedial.ini files... Opera message is that KERNEL32.dll cannot be found...

RE: Where are Speed Dial files located?Opera for Windows
@gdnctr I installed a recent copy of Opera One (from Opera's website Download page) -- Chromium version:109.0.5414.149 -- and it fixed the problem! Woo Hoo! Speed Dial returned and, with an earlier copy than the one which disappeared. Many, many thanks to you for all your help and advice!
Problem Solved!

RE: Where are Speed Dial files located?Opera for Windows
@leocg I'm on a Win-Pro x64 machine, trying to recover the Speed Dial file(s) from an Opera v95.0.4635 crash. I can easily save Bookmarks, but I remember saving SD & Prefs in an earlier version, when upgrading, and there was a folder which contained that data, and was easily entered into the upgrade, automatically when installing. I need the graphical Speed Dial w/ links file(s).

Opera Crashes/ Speed Dial FilesOpera for computers
My long-used (since 2000) Opera v95 crashed when CCleaner edited the Registry, and now won't open. I want to save the Speed Dial Page URLs and uninstall the damaged Opera copy, install a clean Opera copy and reload the SD files.
Can anyone tell me where the Speed Dial folder/files and the important prefs files live? I don't want to lose those 58 icons/URLs (many are critical medical URLs) when I uninstall the old, damaged copy and install a new Opera.
Help, please!

RE: Configure Speed Dial in v29?Opera for Windows
Exactly, all the tiles are restricted in a tiny space, and no matter how many columns we choose to have, they are always very small. Bring back that very useful slider.
lando242, you really make no sense.I'm finding that the tiles are too large and only allow 7 columns, in its present configuration. The old slider button allowed resizing down to much smaller tiles, and I could get them all on one page. Now, I have to scroll down 1.5 pages to get to all tiles. Annoying.

RE: Configure Speed Dial in v29?Opera for Windows
Okay, I found it.
It's configurable, up to a point.
Menu|Settings|Start Page... "Maximum number of columns"... drop-down menu goes to 11, but is pre-set to 7 columns. No leeway, no options beyond 7. Drop-down menu needs amending.
Thanks for your help, lando242. -
RE: Configure Speed Dial in v29?Opera for Windows
Its in Options. IIRC you have to enable Power User Options if you want it to display it though. You open the Options page, click an empty space on the page somewhere and enter the Konami Code to enable it. Be careful, changing some of those options can mess stuff up pretty good. Which is why they are hidden.
Options page? Where is that? There's no Options on any menu I can find.
Konami Code? Seriously? That sounds way above my pay grade.
At the missing wrench link-icon in previous versions, there used to be a slide button where the Speed Dial page could be simply resized to show more/fewer tiles, change backgrounds etc. Now that's gone. A right click now does themes and extensions, but the simple page re-size wrench icon is MIA.
