Excellent release, the password bug (when entering text with a mobile-style keypad) from the last version has been fixed and the 'force zoom' is most useful. Pity that the 'pull to refresh' is still present, but hey, it's still head and shoulders above all other browsers.

RE: Pull down to reloadOpera for Android
Definitely lose this 'feature' or make it optional, it's giving me grief way in excess of its usefulness (which is zero, as there's a refresh function in the address bar).

RE: Speed dials won't syncOpera for Android
For people who's speed dials aren't synching (as mine weren't) try this, but NOTE: you'll only be able to do this for the next couple of weeks, as Opera are withdrawing the service 'in December'.
This is effectively, the 'old' method of synching which I assumed had been replaced by the new monitor synch icon in settings.
Enter 'link.opera.com' in your address bar and sign in, ALSO sign in via the monitor icon within the browser, you should now see all your speed dials, and hitting 'import all' should sync 'em.
Bear in mind the caveat with regard to the time limit above, hope this helps.

RE: Opera 33 - Now featuring video optimization and brand new iconsOpera for Android
The password bug still exists in the latest build (on all sites) when entering the text using a 'mobile style' keypad (ABC, DEF etc) the only way to enter a password is to turn the phone to landscape and use the QWERTY keyboard, all other types of input work correctly with the mobile keypad.
Galaxy Note II (Kit Kat)Note: This bug does NOT exist in 34 beta, so migrating to that unless I find something horrendous

RE: Proposal about Improvements.Opera for Android
I think this has been mentioned elsewhere, but removing the pull down to refresh, or at least having the option to turn it on or off would be good, as the number of times I've scrolled down and inadvertently refreshed has driven me mad, especially considering there's a perfectly usable refresh icon in the address bar.

RE: Opera 33 - Now featuring video optimization and brand new iconsOpera for Android
As I've stated on the PlayStore and via the bug reporting service (ANDEX-28739) entering any text in a password field on any website in the two builds released yesterday results in a 'format not recognised' pop-up - pasting the password in will work, but this is a somewhat tedious procedure. Obviously with Opera's excellent password manager, it's not a problem everywhere, but some banking sites won't allow you to save your login.

RE: user agent and off roadOpera for Android
What I'd like to see in a future version is the ability to actually change the 'desktop' user-agent string, as we used to be able to using opera:config in Opera Classic as even with the desktop user agent selected from settings, I'm still getting mobile versions of pages. Oh, and being able to change font size (or set a minimum - again possible in Classic) would be splendid too..

RE: How to remove Opera icon from task manager menu?Opera for Android
Hello everyone!
After the last update of Opera for Android, the icon of the app started to show on Task Manager menu, right next to Close all apps and Usage stats. Does anyone knows how to remove it from there, because for me it's really annoying?
Here's a link to a screen shot (sorry if it's forbidden by the rules):
https://twitter.com/zynth6/status/523080907700592640Yes, at some point you must have hit the 'search' icon which is normally in that position and chosen 'Opera' and 'always' from the pop-up menu. Simply go into your Application Manager, choose Opera, scroll down to 'clear defaults' et voila - the Opera icon will have disappeared and the search icon returned.

RE: Opera 25 final releaseOpera for Android
Can we move the Bookmark option around, or put it somewhere else? It is permanently in the top left on my speed dial and it has messed up my speed dial pattern I've used for 4+ years on mobile.
You can move the bookmark icon just like any other speed dial - just hold and drag.

I decided to give the "new Opera" another try to see if there's at least been some improvement, but no. It still seems to be every bit as unusable as it was six months ago: incredibly slow, poor rendering, terrible scrolling and panning, unreliable text wrapping, and still lacking even the most basic functions of a web browser, such as bookmarks. If this is the pace of progress, then I think I've lost all hope of this POS being able to catch up with Opera 12 during this decade, not to mention offer any improvement over it.
+1 sadly (and I've had a deep love for the Opera Mobile browsers over many years)
Hey Presto! Where art thou?
