@MomoTrader809 Dark Mode should be pretty basic option but for example I never use Opera (although I regularly try it out) because the sidebar is unusable for me. Vivaldi and Sidekick allowed custom URLs (even edge for some point), while Opera forces its own apps on me and you can’t even modify them. Productivity would lie precisely in me defining what I want to see in a sidebar, wouldn’t it?

I think Opera Air’s design is pretty cool, but the fact is that nowadays, with 500+ nit laptops and insanely bright monitors, the light theme isn’t viable.

I think this would be enough for most of us regarding the entire browser and would fit perfectly with the Air.

Since Opera's design does not really account for the possibility of vertical tabs, many of us use separate extensions for this purpose. The biggest issue with this is that Opera does not support the tabGroups API, so it's not possible to name specific groups/tab islands in the extensions either. I would like to suggest that even if Opera itself does not plan to support naming groups, it could still provide the option for extensions to utilize the API.

Currently, the elements on the bar sidebar (messaging apps, custom URLs, etc.) must be opened and closed continuously with the mouse. I would like to suggest the following shortcuts:

• Closing the sidebar (if nothing else, please at least add this. It's very inconvenient to always fiddle with the mouse on large monitors.)
• Opening the next item
• Opening the previous item

Assigning shortcuts to individual elements might not be simple, but even if the items cannot be selected, at least we could navigate to them with the previous/next shortcut.

@leocg I thought maybe someone has already found a solution for it in some form (extension, flag, etc...), I didn't necessarily mean the original setting. But I could have been clearer, that's true.

I cant use bitwarden extension on the sidebar apps. None of the extensions are working, or is it just this one that's having issues?

For the search engines I created, the "make default" is greyed out. Can this be fixed somehow?

Is there any way to add more than 5 custom URLs to the sidebar? I don't get any error or notifications; it just does not add any more URLs. Is there any flags or any other solution to enable more?

• Set the witdth and pin state of the sidebar individually for each element
• Add option for desktop/mobile display to sidebar custom url items

The design of the Aria would greatly benefit from more customization.

• Setting the response language
• Creating custom prompts like summarize
• Change models, add own API keys etc

The search added by extensions does not work at all in the address bar.

E.g. for the raindrop.io extension, the "rd" string would search directly in the raindrop bookmarks but it just opens the default search engine.

Is this a lack of function or a bug?

I don't quite understand this "brighter makes you happier" thing. I'm sure there's some background to it, but in IT, I don't think it has significance. We're already in twilight here, I just installed Opera Air for the first time and it almost burned out my brain

For me, a bright display is often more irritating, while a darker one is more relaxing. This is especially relevant if you're using a stronger monitor, although even if I turn down the brightness, I still have to squint at bright displays.

I'm really looking forward to dark mode because it seems to be a good browser overall

I made myself try out Opera. It seems quite good in terms of functionality, but there are some basic options (or their absence) that I don't fully understand.

• Is it possible to name a tab island?
• How can I choose a color for a tab island?
• Is there a shortcut to manually hibernate background workspaces or background tabs?
• How can I change mouse gestures?
• Is there an option to add exceptions for tab snoozing?
• Is it possible that there are no vertical tabs?
• I added Brave Search as custom search engine but the Make It Default is greyed out. Is this normal?
• Can I add custom url as new tab somewhere?

I'm fine if these exist in some beta/alpha version or in some flag.

I appreciate if you can help me with these.

You built a highly customizable browser but I can't do anything with the sidebar. I can' rearrange stuff, I can't pin custom URLs on the sidebar... why is that?

I found the flag for custom URLs but 1) It does not work with any URL 2) I can't make more than 5 of them 3) I can't rearrange them.

Is there any plan to add these features in the near future? I use the Sidekick browser now which has a very customizable, awesome sidebar and I can not live without it anymore. I always try Opera occasionally, but the only reason I always leave it is the sidebar. There are lots of amazing features here but the lack of the option to customize it kills the productivity.
