@Mervyn - The same options don't exist in the newer versions of Opera. In 12.16 you can edit existing search engines, delete any/all of them, as well as adding new ones.

In Opera 18 there are 5 preset search engines that can't be edited nor deleted - Google, Bing, Yahoo, Wikipedia and Amazon. However, you can make any of these search engines the default, and you can also add new search engines and make any of those the default, so maybe that's the solution.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the use of search engines in 18, simply because you can't edit/delete the 5 search engines that already exist in the program.

Nothing has been added or improved since version 15. All that's happened is the version number has increased by +1 every few weeks.

Its target audience doesn't seem to be anyone in particular. Chropera is just Chrome with fewer features. That's why the only people here saying how awesome it is are the same 3 or 4 fanboys who say that in every thread like this one - and there have been tons of those. That's probably why it's progressed so slowly - absolutely nothing of value has been added to it in 12 months. Not one thing. I expect them to announce that they're discontinuing it soon. It's a complete waste of time and resources and their desktop market share is shrinking and will continue to do so.

I wasn't talking about the new version of the browser, which is clearly due to be discontinued soon. I was talking about alternatives to the old browser - you know, the good one.

How many times can that excuse be rolled out? What meaningful features have been added to Chropera since version 15 came out a year ago? Not a thing!

12.16 IS the latest Opera. After that, the company tossed out every principle they had that made the Presto version good to chase after the dumbed-down mainstream market - which is an utterly futile exercise.

12.16 is the latest version. Everything after that isn't Opera.
