RE: Syncing speed dials between tabet and phoneOpera for Android
@JonFleming I use Opera on a Windows Desktop, Pixel Phone and Tablet.
As a workaround from Opera on my Desktop, I Open Bookmarks, Other Speed Dials.
I see a List of other Devices "Pixel Phone" and "Pixel Tablet".
I can then Copy and Paste Speed Dials between the Device folders.
I also have another folder named Master which contains all my Speed Dials as a Backup. -
RE: Opera SyncOpera for Windows
@janmlar If want the Speed Dials to be the same on both computers you can Copy and Paste Speed Dials.
In Opera go to Bookmarks, you will see a Speed Dial Folder.
What I do is go to the folder for the Computer or Device that I want to copy to, Right Click "Select All", Right Click on one of the Selected Speed Dial Icons and Click "Move Selected to Bin".
I then open the Speed Dial Folder that I wish to copy the Speed Dials from, "Control A" Right Click "Copy" go to the Destination Folder and Paste the Speed Dials. One you have a good starting point Opera Sync should take care of any changes you make after that.

RE: Opera SyncOpera for Windows
@janmlar I have 3 devices on Opera, a Windows PC, Android Tablet and Phone.
If I open Bookmarks on the Windows 11 Computer under Other Speed Dials there are folders for the Android Tablet and Phone Speed Dials.
There is a folder from another Computer which I no longer use, so I renamed that Master which has a backup of the Windows 11 Speed Dials. -

@pdw How did you get version Version:95.0.4635.90 of Opera working?
I use Version:78.0.4093.206 and it does not allow later updates.
Sadly people don't seem willing to help when many people have legitimate reasons for using Win7 such as disability tools.
Also anyone who values their privacy.
I was trying to move to Linux but sadly my investigations suggest that it too suffers from bloatware vs a very basic command line interface.
I tell you, if someone builds a Linux distro with an absolute clone of Win7 desktop with drivers that support WIn7 drivers they will make a fortune.
I only use Win10 for closed systems such as a media PC with no other software on it.
When I was in Ireland many years ago before we had sat nav etc and were asking for directions, the response was
"you don't want to start from here"
Which tends to be the reply you get on here.
Have you ever thought maybe people cannot help.
Microsoft discontinued support for Windows 7 over 6 years ago and Windows 7 was released in October 2009.There have been 4 major consumer Windows O/S releases since Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11.
There are younger people that use Windows Computers that may have never even heard of Windows 7 let alone seen or used it.
People also forget things, you change to a different device O/S you tend to focus on the new device. If someone is happy using an older device that is fine but to complain about the lack of support is unfair.
