@pdw How did you get version Version:95.0.4635.90 of Opera working?
I use Version:78.0.4093.206 and it does not allow later updates.
Sadly people don't seem willing to help when many people have legitimate reasons for using Win7 such as disability tools.
Also anyone who values their privacy.
I was trying to move to Linux but sadly my investigations suggest that it too suffers from bloatware vs a very basic command line interface.
I tell you, if someone builds a Linux distro with an absolute clone of Win7 desktop with drivers that support WIn7 drivers they will make a fortune.
I only use Win10 for closed systems such as a media PC with no other software on it.
When I was in Ireland many years ago before we had sat nav etc and were asking for directions, the response was
"you don't want to start from here"
Which tends to be the reply you get on here.
Have you ever thought maybe people cannot help.
Microsoft discontinued support for Windows 7 over 6 years ago and Windows 7 was released in October 2009.
There have been 4 major consumer Windows O/S releases since Windows 7, Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11.
There are younger people that use Windows Computers that may have never even heard of Windows 7 let alone seen or used it.
People also forget things, you change to a different device O/S you tend to focus on the new device. If someone is happy using an older device that is fine but to complain about the lack of support is unfair.
