very important addon since Opera 70; where the devs decided the aforementioned flag (opera://flags/#search-in-open-tabs) was no longer needed...
A few suggestions though:
o) instead of the "option" icon next to each url, why not display the Fav-Icon of each page like Opera did?
o) could you please add a search bar?
o) could you add a colored icon as an option?

So password saving also falls into the category of auto-fill (settings wise)? Because I usually have that disabled but can use the password manager nonetheless.
Anyway, I tried enabling auto fill AND the flag you linked, to no avail :-\
The only thing that gets filled out is the login name. But the password is still not saved (nor asked to be saved).
I already tried:

I hoped an Opera update would "fix" this, but I cannot use this feature on a number of sites; the "Save Password" prompt just never shows...

And what's really bugging me are some local intranet sites (for company services) which worked flawlessly for years, but since a few months now, even already saved passwords won't get auto-filled in :-\
Is there any way to "debug" this feature so I might get closer to the real problem?

Maybe one shouldn't suggest two things in one post, but for me these two belong together. I really liked how in Opera in the "good old days" you could place the tabs on the right hand side.
I know this feature exists in Vivaldi, but I love a lot of the current Opera features and don't want to change...
AND it shouldn't just be "tabs on the right side": it should be more like the feature rich (but outdated) extension "Sidewise":

-> Tab-Tree, Hibernation, Folders, Titles, Highlighting... a "sidewise for sidebar", so to say

Unfortunately, it doesn't work on another computer with a different Opera installation and all that. So it's definitely Opera it self...

Can you log into adobe and save your credentials? Because that would suck for me, as I have no idea why my "Opera installation" should be that different...
Since when are the autocomplete settings (regardless of browser or website setting) used for password fields?

And it doesn't work enabling/forcing those.
The problem is: Opera isn't even asking you, after logging in, if you want to save the password for this site (can be tested with www.adobe.com, but is true on other sites as well).
So it's not to "auto fill" that doesn't work, it might be because Opera doesn't "get" that a login just happened to ask if you want to save said login?

I've deleted all data ("Clear browsing data") except passwords and cookies/site data. Then searched for "adobe" in "All cookies and site data" and deleted all of that.
Unfortunately, that didn't help...
The elements on the page are "email" and "password", so it should be recognized by Opera.
Disabling the Adblocker doesn't help either.
I got the same problem on a few(!) sites!
Including logging into Adobe! (http://www.adobe.com/)
I currently have no saved password for this site.
The "Never saved" list is empty too!
Passwords are not synced (if that makes any difference...).
What's so different on these sites (don't know any other off the top of my head)?
I know, this feature has been requested a number of times, but I cannot state how important this feature is; it's all that is "Opera": the most adjustable browser!
Of course I use the pretty awesome addon "Sidewise", but it has one major flaw: it's a separate window which makes tab-switching from/to Opera such a hassle, that I've stopped using alt-tabbing altogether! :-\
So PLEASE, let us place the tab-bar on the right (or left or whatever)!!
With even broader monitors (21:9) there is more then enough space on the side!
Quick feature list:
o) tabbar on the right
o) resize able (width, of course^^)
o) grouping into folders
o) sub-tabs (collapseable; great feature from Sidewise!)

I really like the new sync, but what I still miss:
o) syncing of custom search engines
o) (optional) syncing of Experiment settings
Maybe the Option to sync Addons and their settings.
And on the website, it should be direcktly possible to delete on item! Like "History", or under Speed Dials an (old) PC.
