@Sunshine-3000 yes, i understood. This is bad behaviour. And the suggestion bar above the keyboard is totally missplaced, the drop-down was super.
I dont think they will bring this back -

If I search its usually from the address bar.
Moment. For me search bar is the adress bar, so i though on your screenshot this is the searchbar (=adressbar). Obvously you have searchbar AND adress bar, correct? On your previous screesnshot what is the searchbar and what is the adressbar? Or could you make another screenshot where both are seen?

RE: Remove search box opera androidOpera for Android
@WillyKaus this is part of the browser and so part of the start page. If you could remove it from the startpage, then you should not have it when you need to browse too, and this has no sense.
Why it is so big is an other question?! If you browse it is also so big?

@miyukiwork thank you for your answer.
I just can not understand what do you mean with "It works in other browsers exactly as you described."? Which and why other browser? Is this issue/bug in Opera Mobile and it will be trying to be fixed or how can we understand your feedback?
Thanks -

@miyukiwork any chance of improvement here?

RE: Can not tap the "allow" or "deny" on permission popupOpera for Android
yes, i already have understood this, but can not find what is displayed over Opera.
Nevermind, one workaround is to split the screen while Opera popup is not clickable with another app, so you have Opera and another app dislpayed . Then the Opera popup is responsable and you can click allow or deny. -
Can not tap the "allow" or "deny" on permission popupOpera for Android
In relation to this thread https://forums.opera.com/topic/36514/cannot-tap-the-allow-or-deny-on-permission-popup i want to report that 6 years later i still have this issue. And it is not new to me, i have it since i started to use Opera Android. Anyone else too?
Thats why i would re-open this thread. Maybe someone can find the solution finally... or maybe Opera could start to investigate the issue and fix it. -
RE: Remove new search selection barOpera for Android
@vfel46 and how can Opera know that I installed Opera in Africa (where Opera features are limited) but use it in Alaska, where no feature limits but my Opera is limited , because I installed it in Africa

RE: Remove new search selection barOpera for Android
@zerxx i can not understand how one and the same version can have different implementations - one has some settings which others dont have, strange..
- Opera for Android
-
RE: Remove new search selection barOpera for Android
@zerxx hidden?! It is the first setting in the Opera settings. It is also present in many places in the settings. For example open Settings and right after that it should be the first settings option over the Vpn toggle. Also you can find it unter the search section in the settings, where search machine , search suggestions etc. Also i had default speed dial button on the start page in Opera, called Aks AI - it leads you than to the same place in the settings. But actually in you screenshot you post above, when you click on the Settings unter the search field, it should get you also there.
And last hint, in Opera settings you have search option where you can find settings. There is a search field in the Opera settings, type there AI and it should give the places in the settings where it is present. Maybe in your set language AI is called different, in German it is KI.
So did you find it now? -
RE: [Suggestion]Please, make the new autocomplete suggestions design optionalOpera for Android
@mnb11 i totally agree with you

RE: Remove new search selection barOpera for Android
i think i got the aswer of at least my mysterium of why i dont have that view. It is because of the toggle of the setting "Opera AI" in the Opera settings. I have it disabled. When i enable it, than i get the same view and buttons over the search field as shown in the screenshot of @zerxx
-
RE: Remove new search selection barOpera for Android
@zerxx its crazy, i dont have that view. When I tap on the adress field I get the old behaviour still looking like this screenshot

Maybe is has something to do with the tab bar view. I do have tabs enabled and sitting on top of the search/address bar. How it is on you?
