RE: Opera-38 unusableOpera for Linux
With last patch hardware acceleration is broken, but i think is due to lack of optimization, leaving the horrorific default Chromium options and making things worse removing some flags in the way.
For example, gpu memory buffers are no longer supported without forcing on my desktop system (which has an AMD Radeon HD 5450). This reduce a lot of performance with some content like Flash, but is easy to solve changing arguments (no flags available).
The same issue i found with Android version, but here i don't know how to manage shortcuts to enable it).
bad behavior between Opera 38 and Windows 10Opera for Windows
I noticed bad network performance with Opera 38 even using Turbo to bypass some bad issues, dropping DNS errors often. I reinstalled network drivers and checked windows updates to discard (even known related bugs on Win10), but still bad.
One thing i suspect is the Opera autoupdate service, which is hopping everytime seeing task manager. Linux side doesn't has this issue.
RE: tabs hang but browser isn't fully frozen on Opera 32Opera for Windows
I have the same problem with Flash 18/19 inside Opera 32 (Flash 17 peeper version doesn't have this issue), freezing tabs with flash content after certain time of use.
Unfortunately Windows version refuses to use old flash so i cannot go back (Linux version does)
Opera 29 and 30 hanging on Intel Atom N450Opera for Linux
Is silly. I can watch 720p videos via VLC, but Opera takes a huge CPU load when i'm lurking inside Facebook or some kind of image pool in the web, hanging system. My distro is pretty light (FatDog64 v 7.1, based in Slackware 14), i checked permissions from executables, dependencies and all that.
I also tried to limit disk cache (--disk-cache-size option from Chrome), but perhaps that isn't working in Opera. Exists any way to disable and bring the task to main memory (that solved a the same issue in Firefox)?
Finally, hoy i can log Opera activity to a plain text file?
- Intel Atom N450 (single core w/HT, 1.66Ghz, Intel GMA 3150 graphics)
- 2GB DDR2 SDRAM 667Mhz
- 32GB SSD disk.
RE: Opera Mini 8 beta 6 for AndroidOpera Mini
Exist a solution to recover Opera Link bookmarks? Testing Opera Mini 8 in my Motorola XT316 (Android 2.3.5 currently) it no longer accepts a downgrade, Mini 7.6.4 stucks when it syncs with Link so i'm forced to stay in the new version.
I got the same issue in desktop version. Could be good at least an "export to HTML" option in Link to migrate.
