heh heh... on this matter, all roads lead to 'help is just one click away'. lol google is not my friend.
I swear i went thru the config line by line. I was looking for 'link' not sync i guess. thank you. My next wonder is if anyone has figured out a way to make their own server act as a personal opera sync? that would be wonderful. 12.17 is still the best browser in my eyes. especially with html5.
After link support ended, the opera link in my browser is still blue = enabled, and so when i close the browser it still attempts to sync. If i try to 'configure' it, the first thing it needs is me to login...which of course goes nowhere now. So how do i disable opera link in my browser now?
For reasons unknown, all my mail disappeared. my contacts and profile still work and new mail is showing up, but all the mail is gone. When i look to the 'mail' folder there is still about a gig of data.
Is there any way to repair the index and fix this. I know i can make a new account and import, but i will lose all of the labeling won't i?
I have zero use for the new opera, it's missing all the features (12.17) that made opera amazing in the first place.
THE singlemost important feature that was available in 12.17 is still absent in 26.x, which is the selective blocked content. For me, 12.17 is the one i use, is still far superior to any browser out there, including the new opera. But if the new opera featured a blocked content (global and per site) feature, i might consider trying it. Until then, 12.17 all the way...and if 12.17 ever becomes so outdated that it doesn't work, i guess i will just have to go offline and enjoy fishing or something else.
