@rafaelluik: I used Opera for a while as my main browser but the constant tinkering with the UI, removing features/altering features and bugs got too annoying. I tried Vivaldi but don’t like it so now stick with Firefox as my main browser.

Also getting to the full bookmarks view is now a complete faff, especially if all you want to do is empty the bin. Maybe include the bin in the bookmars panel at least?

@sac: Each to their own but I quite like it. You get the name of the website which is handy when quickly glancing at the dropdown menu (it's exactly the same as the way Firefox does it and I'm used to that). Can't please everyone I guess.

To be honest, I much prefer the more traditional sidebar, as seen in browsers like Firefox. You have an icon in the address bar and don't have to have a permanent sidebar to the left of the browser. The new bookmarks panel is great, even if not exactly a new idea but having the permanent sidebar panel there as well is quite unnecessary.

Every once and a while, after an upgrade I do see a few additional Speed Dial tiles. I assume they're just sponsored links and delete them. Never had major problems with Speed Dial.

Opera for computersRE: New Opera stable 53
Since this upgrade I am not able to see a preview image when bookmarking (using the heart icon). I select the image but only ever see the url in the image preview.

Opera for WindowsBookmark preview image not showing
This happened last week, then seemed to resolve itself but is now back again:
When I click on the heart to bookmark a page, I chose a suitable preview image but when viewing in bookmarks or Speed Dial, all I see is the url in the image preview. I only have one extension installed (Disconnect) so I know that's not the issue. This has only happened since upgrading to Opera 53 as it has worked as intended before.
