Looks like I'll be joining you guys. Just crossed the 1 month mark for a completely open-sourced (on github) extension submission.

FB Messenger in sidebar terribly laggyOpera for Windows
FB Messenger in sidebar terribly laggy
Only Messenger is laggy. All others are fine and snappy. Messenger takes like 30 seconds before it's responsive.
Saw some old threads, including this one, which implied that the sidebar apps were actually loading extensions as well? https://forums.opera.com/topic/25051/messengers-in-sidebar-are-lagging-slow
Is that (still?) the case?

[Request]Stop Download window pop up underneath Youtube Pop Out/PiP PlayerGeneral
On Windows desktop, if there is a Youtube video popped out, any download window pop ups are always hidden underneath the pop out player.
As a result, I must always move the pop out player around to see/interact with the download window.
If I move the pop out player, new download windows will follow it around.
Please change this behaviour.

RE: Keeps randomly freezing for ~1 minute since ~2 months ago September 2023Opera for Windows
It seems to have mysteriously gone away on its own for me. Didn't make any changes to extensions or hardware, only possible change is automatic Windows updates.

RE: Keeps randomly freezing for ~1 minute since ~2 months ago September 2023Opera for Windows
@akie47 Same, I've had no changes to extensions and the vast majority of them don't actively run unless clicked.
I also noticed this same behaviour happening with Steam's built-in browser. The freezing is completely independent; Steam freezing doesn't mean Opera has any issues, and vice versa. I don't think they're using the same engine, so there might be some other connection.
I also have Chrome with largely the same extensions as Opera, and it never freezes, and it should be using the same engine.
Very strange.

Keeps randomly freezing for ~1 minute since ~2 months ago September 2023Opera for Windows
Been using Opera GX for years without problems, then suddenly it would randomly freeze. It did not depend on system usage or video playback or whatever, it's completely random. The whole window would become unresponsive, but if you click/scroll it will seem to get processed at the end.
Have tried checking hardware acceleration, a repair, a full uninstall and re-install (saving my user profile), and clearing the Local cache by deleting the whole folder.
Still persists.
Anyone have any ideas?

Auto Video Pop Out ("Picture-in-Picture") when switching workspacesSuggestions and feature requests
Currently, the auto pop out only triggers when switching tabs within a workspace.
Ideally, it should also work when switching to another workspace as well.

RE: Opera Touch does not support NordVPN ProtocolOpera Touch
Can conform it's still not fixed as of June 2022.
I've also discovered that Opera Touch also does not handle Zoom links/protocols.
Very disappointing.

RE: [Implemented-Developer]Allow more than 5 workspacesSuggestions and feature requests
Sorry for the double-post, looks like the "edit" period for my previous reply has expired.
I'm back with another update, on a different computer but with the same Opera GX version and account.
So, as expected, the workspaces I added a few hours ago on the other computer is automatically here (so >5 workspaces). However, trying to add more on this computer reverts back to the behaviour of replacing/renaming existing workspaces.
So I went to check the Music/Player functionality deep in general settings again, and it's already enabled (it looks like settings sync up very well on Opera
). So I toggled it to "Disabled" this time, and tried to add more workspaces again immediately (without any browser restarts etc).
And bam, it's behaving as intended again.
But I've grown to like the Music/Player sidebar thingy over the past few hours, so I turned it back on, and adding workspaces still behaves correctly.
So now it's confirmed that toggling the Music/Player functionality is one reproducible way to fix this bug regardless of whether it starts or ends on "On" or "Off", and does not require any restarts.
Hopefully devs can poke into this to find out the actual interaction to be addressed.

RE: [Implemented-Developer]Allow more than 5 workspacesSuggestions and feature requests
@sgunhouse I went digging deeper in the options menu to try to find a way to check/restore functionality without re-installing or clearing profile data.
Somehow, turning on the "background music" feature, seemingly completely unrelated, has fixed this for me. Not sure if toggling this also checks/updates some other stuff in the code, but others still stuck on 5 workspaces may try this.

RE: Addons "Cashback Web Monitor"Opera for computers
Been bugging me too, but only on my Ubuntu system. Opera (GX) hard crashed soon after taking this screenshot. I have another desktop and laptop on Windows, this isn't an issue... yet.

RE: Opera Touch does not support NordVPN ProtocolOpera Touch
@opt I don't think the issue's been properly resolved yet. Nord tech support just left it at they'll consider this for future updates. Quite frustrating imo, when they've already built-in a native browser, feels like all it takes is to "flip a switch" to stop sending login requests out to external browsers.
I know a few apps that already do this (e.g. facebook/messenger, some reddit apps), but ironically it's an annoyance in those situations.
I've never found a way to specifically and manually associate protocols with apps on Android either.
For now, I just have to switch default browser back to Firefox every time NordVPN mysteriously logs itself out, which is fortunately becoming a rarer occurrence.

Opera Touch does not support NordVPN ProtocolOpera Touch
NordVPN on Android has recently switched to sending the user to a webpage to do the log in (as opposed to handling it natively in the app).
If your Android did not set a default browser, then it seems to open its own built-in browser to handle this process, which works.
However, if Opera Touch is set as the default browser, this overrides the native browser, so the login session is opened in Opera Touch.
However, after logging in, NordVPN tries to send you back into its app. This is where the incompatibility comes in.
"Unknown Protocol
Opera Touch was unable to open the link since no application associated with "nordvpn:" protocol was found on your system.
