This will work only if you exclusively save bookmarks to Unsorted. I often save bookmarks to a different location if I bookmark something from a certain category, but the most of the time I use the Unsorted folder and from there I will move the Item to My Folders. If I Bookmark something to a certain folder and then I'm in a hurry and I bookmark something else that clearly I want to go to Unsorted to look up later then my bookmark will save at the last location used and if I don't remember where I last save then I have to look in all my folders to search where my new bookmark could be.

Default location for adding bookmarks from the heart iconOpera for Windows
The current saving behavior for adding bookmarks using the heart button is really annoying. Is there a way to make opera not remember the last save location of the bookmarks and for every new bookmark the location should be the unsorted folder.
What's the point of unsorted bookmarks folder if opera remembers the last location of where you save the last bookmark and future bookmarks will save there. The whole point of unsorted folder is when you save something in the hurry and get back to it latter. If opera remembers the last saved location for the bookmarks how should I remember where I last saved a bookmark thus I always have to search for my new bookmarks because they are lost in the folder tree were I last saved. -
Other speed dials menuOpera for Windows
Why in the "Other speed dials" from bookmarks there are multiple entries of the same device? I use Opera on my android device and i also tested the beta version and developer version with the synchronization on the same device. Now the same device appears multiple times in the other speed dials view.
Is there any way to delete the duplicates? Or the management of the devices will improve adding the capability of deleting some devices from Other speed dials menu...

RE: Opera Profile Folder BackupOpera for Windows
The only thing that you can't backup are the saved passwords if the destination is on another pc or if you reinstall windows, because password manager data is bounded to that unique OS installation that you had and password data will not be recognize. At lest until password synchronization is available via Opera Synchronization for the stable version

RE: How to save Speed Dials in Opera 26 ?Opera for Windows
Or you can backup the whole profile folder from "C:\Users\Your User\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable" then when you reinstall opera and copy the profile folder back, the state of opera is just like before, with bookmarks, settings Add-ons installed before....
The saved passwords cannot be backed up when reinstalling windows or between different PC because of the encryption used that is bounded to the OS installation...

RE: Running SlowOpera for Windows
It is something with the opera stable line, since build 25.0.1614.50 i experience lags in loading pages as explain in this post:
It has nothing to do whit the system because the issue dose not occur on Opera beta, Opera developer, older Opera versions than 25.0.1614.50 and neither on other browsers like Firefox.
I hope is temporary because is annoying to wait 13 seconds to start loading a page... -
RE: Opera stable lags when accessing any of the internal or external pagesOpera for Windows
So i did some testing and install all builds of opera stable backwards one by one and i discovered that that lag that i described above appears exactly from the first 25 build (25.0.1614.50). Is right when the experimental speed dial page was offered for trying. Since that build, opera lags every time for 10-13 ~ seconds before loading any page for the first time, after that the sub pages from that domain instant loads..
I'm sure that the problem is whit the stable version of opera... The Beta and developer versions dose not have this issue, all pages are loaded without any delay after you click them....I have a dedicated nvidea GTS 360M graphic card with 1 GB of ram and I don't have this kind of problem in other browsers so i excluded my system for the cause of this issue.
I know that 4 GB of ram is at the limit and i have planed to upgrade but this wont solve the issue...
And the possibility that a malware is present is almost impossible because i use the same windows build for some time and the issue persisted after a clean install. My guess is that some settings are not optimized as it should because i have this issue since opera stable 25.0.1614.50 and the beta and developer are fine..
I'm waiting for future releases to see if the problem is solved. Until then this situation is annoying because i have to wait 13 sec only to load Google page for example. -
Opera stable lags when accessing any of the internal or external pagesOpera for Windows
After launching the Opera browser i observed that the speed dial takes to much time to load and the same thing happens to all sites that are accessed for the first time after that the browsing is responsive and ok until closing the tab and re accessing the address. Also all opera internal pages are opened whit a delay.
The problem persists after the OS was reinstall and a clean version of opera stable was installed.
The issue dose not occur on the opera beta or opera developer and neither on other browsers, is only specific to the last couple of stable releases.
When accessing any of the opera internal pages or clicking on any web addresses the browser should not lag or delay the loading of pages.
Is this a known issue or is just a isolated compatibility issue just on my system or some settings on the stable release are not properly optimized?I use Opera 26.0.1656.24 on Windows 8.1 64-bit (WoW64), 4GB RAM, i5

Backup opera 26 passwordsOpera for Windows
Does anybody knows how to backup opera passwords for the latest releases because usually i backup the profile folder from "C:\Users\My User\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable" and when i restored them everything was OK.
In the recent releases of opera when i backup the profile folder and reinstall opera after i reinstall the operating system on my laptop and set it whit the same user name and password opera does not recognize the files in which the passwords wore saved and backed up. I tried to change the settings from the permissions tab and ownership for the backed up profile but every time opera does not recognize the files in which the passwords are saved. I also disable from the experiments menu the prompt asking for the system password when trying to display passwords. Nothing works...Dose anybody have an idea on what could go wrong? Why can i transfer passwords to the same version of opera after installing the OS?
Sorry for my English..

RE: Very bad colour - who is responsible for this?Other phones
I don't know what is the matter whit GUI Designers now days because they tend to make the interface white for many program that i use. There was a period that the tendency was to design grey / black interfaces and that was cool, now many programs uses allot of white. I personally like dark skins for everything, it looks better.

RE: Favorite Places/BookmarksOpera for Windows
I transfered my bookmarks from opera 12 to opera 20 whit the help of bookmark-importer option from "more tools" menu. It gives you the option to import opera 12 bookmarks to bookmark bar or to a single speed dial folder...
It will be nice for the bookmark bar to have a alternative display, for example a button in the area where extension buttons are. On a laptop 16:9 display 1366x768 you need all the vertical space you can get. Full screen also needs a auto hide bar for displaying and switching tabs.

RE: Favorite Places/BookmarksOpera for Windows
I probably will only use Opera to have quick access to my Yahoo mail account (I have 2 Yahoo Mail accounts and unlike Gmail, Yahoo only allows you to view (open) 1 Yahoo Mail account in a browser so I will use Mozilla and Opera to view my Yahoo accounts and also use Mozilla to "surf the Web" and use Gmail for my Gmail accounts and "surfing".
Too bad Opera came to the conclusion that Bookmarks/Favorite Places are no used but that's why then offer vanilla AND chocolate and I am sure that they know what they are doing.
Thank you for your help Leushino,
BobYou can use Opera Mail for having multiple mail accounts at the same time, it's great.

Opera saved passwordsOpera for Windows
Is any way to make opera Offer to save passwords on some site that it doesn't because a flashy login method or something.
I have a D-link dir-635 router and opera doesn't offer to save password on routers login page (i have a very long password ). Is there a way to manually introduce or modify a saved password? Why opera can't detect for some sites if there is a User/Password field in the page? -
