The reason I'm upset is that Flow worked so well. I became totally dependent on it. It takes several work-arounds to get the same functionality as Flow

Exactly. If I get past the spinning circle, a message says I have to login (although I'm already logged in). After I re-login the white box displays 2 choices. (1) Sync files or (2) Manage subscriptions. Neither choice relates to Flow. Neither choice gives access to Flow.
So the phone shows a 6-digit number & says to follow directions shown on the computer. The computer shows no directions related to Flow

I tried to connect a new android phone to Flow. I scan the QR code. The rotating circle loading icon appears on the PC screen, but it never moves past that point, so there's no way to enter the number code from the cell phone. There used to be an alternate way to connect but it's not working either. My old phone connected to Flow with no problem

The v. 102.0.4880.16 installation is a disaster! Syncing helps, but a lot is messed up..
Here's my question:
1. Speed Dial: After syncing, I can access my Speed Dial by clicking Bookmarks. It's listed there with Speed Dials from phones & tablet. How do I restore this PC's Speed Dial links to the current Speed Dial tab? Surely we don't have to open each link & re-save to Speed Dial??!!!

In looking at Speed Dials in Bookmarks, In the Speed Dial drop-down list, I see that this installation has created a 2nd (new) Speed Dial folder with a name identical to the folder used before this update was installed. I'm going to mess with it. Will let you know what happens...
Step 1: Deleted new Speed Dial folder.
Result: A new empty folder of the same name was created at the top of the Speed Dial drop-down list.

I don't think there's a way to recover #2 or 3
2. Workspaces: All Workspaces are empty. The Workspaces are still there, but every tab in each workspace is gone
3. Pinned tabs... all gone!

I don't know which combination of updates did the job, but mine started working after the desktop 89.0.4447.83 update. Some of the fixes above worked temporarily for one browser session, but the update seems like a real fix. Developers must have heard us (or somebody)

Thanks! I got Flow to work last night but it was gone today. Killing the phone app after it displays the code number did connect it to Flow when the app is re-opened.

Nevermind... It worked! All the Sync & Flow work again!!!
The downside... Before uninstall, did a back-up but it was incomplete-- saved everything but Speed Dial & Flow. Was worth it tho to get the functionality back. Hope it'll be fixed before next update

Are you using the word emoticon to refer to the company logo icons beside each entry? Maybe there's a confusion in terms here...

I decided to try Opera's built-in ad blocker. How can I unblock a website from within a page instead of going to settings and pasting the URL into the ad blocker exceptions list? Is there a button or context menu entry I'm not seeing? Feeling dumb...

About the 2-Mar-19 update (v. 58.0.3135.79):
There's an Emoji item at the top of the context menu. It appears when the cursor is in a text entry field. Let me start by saying that I'm not anti-emoji-- I use them. I just don't like having them at the top of the context menu. Is there an option to disable the Emoji feature? It would be OK if we could just move it down to a lower position in the menu list. Is there a disable option in Settings? Maybe I'm just not seeing it (wouldn't be the first time).

Purely MHO, but I think the colors are picked up from an accent color on the favicon or maybe the website. For ex, BBC-black, XDA-orange, Project Gutenburg-red, androidforums-blue. (ignoring the ones that don't) Anyway, maybe the cache gets dumped or overwritten sometimes. Maybe it decides to try complimentary colors (kidding). Why, oh why does my brain dwell on these things?

Thanks. I didn't think it was from Opera. I don't know anything about msvp hosts file (among many other things). It looks interesting in quick google check. Is it something you use in addition to ad blockers or is it incorporated into ad blockers. It would be nice to have something extra because sites use a lot of work-arounds for ad blockers these days.

Thanks... I never changed the agent from the default, but never stopped to learn what it actually means, either. I think it's Mozilla, based on the page you linked. There's a list of several, but Mozilla is first. It's explained lower on the page so I'll find out a little later when there's time to read it in detail.

Same here. I doesn't happen to all of them, just the generic type that have the site name and a small 2nd line that says .com or .net. The background color is picked up from the site somehow. Example: on mine, the Amazon related stuff like Amazon, Audible, Goodreads, etc have orange backgrounds. Whenever there's an Opera update, they all turn purple. After a while, they turn orange again, maybe after a reboot or 2

Let me know if I'm wrong, but I can't imagine Opera doing such a thing...
I went to a site I've never visited before. It wasn't an iffy site-- just a bio page about an author. As soon as the page opened, there was a weird beep & I got page overlay titled: 2019 Annual Visitor Survey. It said that I'm one of the few chosen lucky Opera users who could win a gift card if I complete an Opera Survey... Now, if I just click this link and enter my information...
(I put the link info at bottom.)

I'm wondering if it's a script that detects the user's browser & fills in Opera, Firefox, Chrome, etc. It reminded me of the old days when a user would open a website & a big "danger" pop-up would announce "Your computer has a virus" (or 10,000 viruses or whatever). When I saw the one today, I felt contaminated & slammed it shut. Should have done a screenie at least.

The "survey" hijacked me. My browsing history only shows the "survey" page, with no trace of the page I was going to. I copied the "survey" link from my browsing history if you're feeling adventurous: 2019 Annual Visitor Survey
