Ok. I see where you said PDFium is Chrome PDF Viewer. Thanks. I thought that PDFium was an internal part of Chromium and not a plug in at all.
I was under the impression that even if a plugin is disabled, it still used resources, was involved in the loading process, etc, and it was better not to have any extra plugins, and to use extensions where ever possible.
So when comparing "PDFium" the PPAPI plugin versus the pdf.js extension, where would the significant points of comparison be in regards to speed, resource usage and compatibility be?
Yes I am aware of the depreciation of NPAPI-plugins.
As I said in my email I am trying to:
not just disable plugins from Opera, but specifically how/where to DELETE them
determine if "Chrome PDF Viewer" in the form of pdf.dll is in fact PDFium
Ok. I know about opera://plugins/. I should have mentioned that.
What I am trying to do is:
delete the unwanted plugins from my computer or from where ever opera is finding the plugins:
because I am trying to determine if PDFium is in fact working.
For example, I have a plugin called "Chrome PDF Viewer" with a Location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera Developer\25.0.1606.0\pdf.dll.
Is this the old Chrome PDF viewer, or is the the internal PDFium viewer ?
Other browser's have built-in print to PDF.
Now that Opera has PDFium, why can't Opera ?
How to tell without a doubt that PDFium is working under Opera Developer v25?
How to enable ?
How to delete all other browser PDF plugins to make sure that just PDFium is being used ?
(Where are all the plugins being stored ? )
Oops.. Opera Portable is not 1.0 (it's the old 12.16)
Ok. So I'll load Opera 1.0 onto my test bed machine.
Thanks

Thanks!!! I have IMAP and it's an internal Gigabit Connection. I'm going to play around with the opera portable app version. I'll just try the index.ini and accounts.ini. files to start.
index.ini - listed everything in the sidebar panel
filter with learning - separate file under autofilter folder called filter_###.ini
accounts.ini - email accounts
email accounts may also be called incoming#.txt or outgoing#.txt
operaprefs.ini - opera preferences
Then I'll move on to the
Paths
Preferences
%AppData%\Roaming\Opera Mail\Opera Mail\operaprefs.ini
Saved session
%AppData%\Roaming\Opera Mail\Opera Mail\sessions\autopera.win
Opera directory
%AppData%\Roaming\Opera Mail\Opera Mail
Mail directory
%AppData%\Local\Opera Mail\Opera Mail\mail

Ok, so where is the Opera Mail directory ? It's not under Program Files or Program Files (x86) or ProgramData ?
So I'm looking inside the index.ini for the names of my filters, and the index.ini file in a mail folder ?
If I have a learning filter it will have a separate file in the autofilter folder?
ok, so if I use the following, it should put both my cache and session.db* onto the ramdisk F: ?
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera\launcher.exe" --user-data-dir=F:\opera --disk-cache-dir=F:\opera
Then what about plugins and extensions ? Are they loaded into memory once at startup or each time they are needed ?
Ok. So each stream needs to be considered separately because each profile is separate with different flags (experiments in each).
Let's ignore power user mode or flags then for now.
So in which folder/file are the settings stored in then ?
At least that way, I don't have to manually setup each stream every time.
I don't use flash or java. I do use javascript.
I am trying to keep Opera resources to a minimum and keep Opera as fast as possible, so:
I don't use any plug ins (i was using sumatrapdf until the pdf.js was more mature, but pdf.js great now).
I minimize use of extensions to (pdf.js, https everywhere, adblock plus, and ghostery).
What flags should or could be disabled to speed things up or use less resources ?
I am also testing Opera with a ramdisk to see how that will help.
If someone can tell me where Opera's cache file or temp files are or whether it using the Windows temp directory I would appreciate it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ok so email account settings are in the accounts.ini ? I don't mind re-entering the passwords, I actually prefer to.
and index.ini has the opera mail preferences ?
and there is no file with the labels (filters?) settings in them ? Crap, that will be a pain - I have about 20 labels....
So where is the settings file for each stream? Is it the same file in each stream ?
What about flags - is that a separate file ?
What about power user mode is that a line entry in a file somewhere ?
Is there a way to save all settings, including flags in Opera Developer so that I don't have to go in and re-enter all my start web pages, etc every time I have to switch from Opera Developer to Opera Next to Opera Stable ?
Are settings saved separately from flags ?
What about power user mode ? Is there command line switch I can use instead of some keyboard string I have to type in every time?
Thanks

I can't see where one can post questions, etc about Opera Mail Application (yes, the new standalone one...Opera Mail Version 1.0 Build 1040)
I've been trying to figure out how to:
export email account settings
import email account settings
import labels
export labels
Failing either of the above, is there just a file (or two) I can copy from one computer to another so that I don't have to enter in all my labels and email account settings, and set all my preferences when I get to another computer?
Is there a Opera Mail portable version ?
