I found a file maybe related:/data/data/com.opera.browser/files/ds/8/all

but

1, some fuzzy text within when I open it by notepad, not sure how can I modify it properly.
2, tried update in this file and overwrite the original one, it only works once, after then, opera restore search engines back to default. seems opera will detect the changing of this file somehow.

As I use portable opera, seems the native sync is never working, so I would like to workaround the bookmark file sync by copy, paste to replace.

1. tried replace

I compared the two bookmarks file of Android Opera and Windows Desktop Opera, seems they are in same format, but different "checksum", and I tried copy the android opera bookmarks file (/data/data/com.opera.browser/app_opera/bookmarks) to replace the bookmark files in portable data folder (OperaPortable\Data\profile\data\bookmarks).

as I load OperaPortable after this, the whole data restored to the default, including History, settings etc....

2. tried modify bookmarks

tried modify one letter in bookmarks of desktop opera, and reload opera, same thing happened.

I believe the "checksum" is the lock of the bookmarks file, if this going to be different, opera reset everything.

question:

I would like to know is there any way I can copy the android bookmarks to desktop opera, and make this works?

Here I don't want to complaint the fault of the sync, but a UI lack I think we need related by sync functions.

If the sync is OK, I wouldn't find this will be a problem, but if there is some issue on sync, I believe users need a status of the sync, like: what's the last successfully sync time? How many bites been synced last time, etc.

And a manual sync button always helpful for user to make sure the sync is occur.

These functions should be added in both desktop version and mobile version.

Mine shows everything fine in the Sync window, but nothing synced between the Desktop & Mobile.

Note that only bookmarks and opened tabs are synced.
