Today I noticed that one of my favorite features of all time has been heavily redesigned, although I do like that it now it crops out the entire video from the original page, I still despise how a lot of features have disappeared.

• you can't skip to the next video anymore.

• the audio adjuster is gone.

• to pause the video you have to specifically press the center pause button instead of anywhere on the video.

• you can't resize the video to your own tuition anymore.

• there is a filter being applied when hovering over the pop-out.

Why? I could never say for certain, but I'm really hoping to see an option to use the classic video pop-out.

Why isn't there an update yet? shouldn't priority be set to high?

When are we expecting a fix?

How this bug made it on to stable version, blows my mind.

I thought beta goes through and extent wave of testing before pushing towards stable?

I prefer the innovative original where it was on hover on the favicon, it feels like the new volume icon fills up the bar.

If there is currently no way to revert, I hope there will be a toggle to revert back, because this way takes up way too much space.

For whomever isn't aware, this is the current PiP/Video Pop-out in v67.

I've been using PiP since 2016 and people that work online all day, it's extremely helpful to follow through with tutorials, or just watching videos while working, but the recent changes have really been a nuisance, eliminating most of the it's great features have been strapped off, and I'm hoping this post will encourage these features back.

This is what I have to say.

• Similar to the blue box when searching something there is now a grey box when you hover over the video.
  I don't know what this obsession is with placing dim screens/highlights/filters over areas but it's super annoying, and there should be a disable option for this.

• I really like the "back to tab" icon in the top left corner, however it makes it incredible difficult to click on since you have to press exactly on the icon, maybe include the title of the video as to how it was. (you can also find an example in my concept)

• Speaking of the old PiP, can you also give us the ability to pause the video when pressing anywhere on the video and the volume adjustment back from the old PiP.

• Setting to have PiP not in a separate window.
  

Since the only way to revert back to the old PiP is to downgrade to v66 or below, I really hope this gets noticed.

Having said all that, I've made a concept bringing the best out of the old PiP and new PiP.

Same issue here, started happening last night.

@aquinas9000 I agree with you very much so. I've been using Opera for a very long time, although it does execute a lot of aspects very well, it's known to also butcher some, the video player for example used to be superb, but in a recent update they removed a lot of beneficial features. When people started to complain they added a portion of them back, however a lot of them are still left out (https://forums.opera.com/topic/38673/suggestions-for-the-new-pip-or-video-pop-out?_=1604848273324)
Sadly they won't listen unless it causes a lot of commotion.

The Nvidia login is also untampered with, it's odd that these two are fine, while I'm logged out of everything else.

@leocg No, I don't have anything synchronized through Opera. I don't have remember my password. I always relied on my accounts staying logged in. Google never signs me out. The biggest problem is that I don't remember the usernames/emails they are tied to.

10 years, and I've never had this issue before...

However, there is one platform that managed to stay logged in oddly enough; and that's Discord for Web.

@leocg I can log in, the problem is that I don't remember some of the logins anymore. I need to restore it somehow. What if I revert the update, will that fix things? Do I have to go back all the way to V74?

@leocg All my data is still there, cookies are there too.

What's also odd, is that it still remember the last reddit pages I have visited even though I got signed out, I still don't get how I was signed out of everything just because of an update, even some small forums I was signed into are logged out...

Everything is there, my tabs, history, bookmarks, cookies, why am I logged out from everything.

I have allow sites to save data enabled, always has been, this is the first update where I got signed out of all platforms.

I guess I will not be getting any help with this.

@leocg I haven't tried yet, there are too many accounts and sites I would have to log back into... and some might be lost forever if I can't recover this...

to answer the previous question.
I believe Opera One, I've had this Opera for over 10 years now.

@leocg I don't think I lost data, my cookies are there, it's just that I'm logged out of everything since the update.

I would like to add that my tabs are still there, and cookies are there too. it's just that I'm signed out from everything.
