As my (new) Opera installation is for pure testing without any important data, could I completely purge Opera, reinstall and hope that I can import Opera 12.x data one more time (as it really seems to be a 'once in a lifetime' feature)?
Or reset all user data and then import?
Or invert the flags which indicates that I already used my import-chance?

The problem is, I can only choose between Chrome, IE and a bookmarks file.

I remember about 30 versions ago, I already tried to import some old Opera data to version 16 or so, which kind of worked.

However, I do not assume that Import is a 'once in a lifetime' option, so I should still be able to import from old Opera, which is still set as default browser, right?

as Opera 12.17 is slowly but certainly becoming too old, I'm starting to look for alternatives and wanted to compare new Opera and Vivaldi.
However, the comparison ended before it even started, as I couldn't find a way to import my 12.17 browser data (BM, passwords etc.) to Opera 46.
Unlike Vivaldi (where the import worked like a charm) Opera merely offers IE, Chrome and a bookmark file to import from.

However, I read that also new Opera offers ways to import 12.17 data, so probably I just did't find it...

So my short and simple question: what's the easiest way to migrate "everything" from Opera 12.17 to the current version?

Don't know about the 2 Playstore releases, but you do know that the entire Opera corporation has been in Chinese hands since quite a while now, don't you?

Well, actually the Android version is quite a desaster as well, just look at the Playstore review of the last couple of weeks.
Or if you're brave, try the latest version for yourself, it certainly didn't change for the better...

Amazing, for months this browser does nothing but doing nothing for 15 seconds and then crash.
Haven't been able to even open it for literally months now.
I'm used to Opera Mini taking way longer to start than any other of my ~40 apps, but at least the older version eventually started.
Meanwhile you must have got dozens of crash reports only from me, so do you plan to ever release a working version again?
It's really a pity, OM has been my mean browser for years (as long as it worked)...

Startup time didn't improve a but here and is as horrible as it always was - as I wrote about the beta version

So 2 out of 3 'features' are broken or don't work as expected, and you simply ignore that?!
Also apparently other bugs have been reported in the beta thread, and nobody even took the time to comment, not even talking about fixing them?

Just in case anybody cares: with todays new version (tab sync crash fix), the issues didn't really improve.
Now I see the tabs of the desktop installation, but not the open tabs of the tablet, though the switch might be a coincidence (only the device with the most up to date sync is shown or whatever...)

It's currently only half working here though: I see open tabs of my tablet, not not of my desktop installation.
SpeedDials are correctly synced and I see both of them (tablet and desktop).

btw: I took a watch to measure startup time after a restart on my iPhone 5c (plenty free mem) with 3 open tabs (simple pages) and sync enabled, and - hold on - it's been 12 seconds
