I have Opera on my Android, and every other day, I get a notification to download Opera Mini. Is there a way to stop this?

I am also getting tired of these notifications - which are in effect advertisements. I have already installed and removed opera mini. I don't want to hear about it again.

Actually I see that it is possible to block notifications from specific apps in the Android Settings, under Apps. So problem solved.

hello.
please provide an official response regarding this.
I get these annoying messages EVERY DAY!! this is really really terribly harassing.
and the most unbelievable part is that I already have opera mini installed..if this doesn't get a proper response soon I will have to change the play store rating to 1 for both opera and mini, and uninstall it.

On the basis that Opera Mobile/Mini doesn't send any useful, meaningful or genuine Android notifiactions, just spam ones. You will not be missing anything by going into App settings and blocking all notifications from Opera.
Why are you going down this murky road Opera? It diminishes the credibility of your software.

I actually use the notifications of opera instead of the facebook app.
unfortunately, opera doesn't seem to give a crap about its users, hence I will rate your android browser and mini browser at 1 because of this, until I see SOME kind of reply from your team. -

This behavior of Opera on Android really is annoying. But turning notifications off in Android settings will work for me. I just feel bad for Opera, because they will be alienating non-technical users of their standard Android browser, who may uninstall Opera due to being pestered. Bad decision on Opera's part to do this! What they really should have is a "don't give me this message again" in their tickler, in which case they can successfully promoted Opera Mini at least once, but without pestering users who have seen the info and don't want it repeated.

Those ad notifications are extremely annoying!
I have Opera and Opera Mini installed, and now I get ads for Opera Max and/or CoastQuite frankly tht behaviour seems pretty pathetic, do you really need those installations that badly??
