Bookmarks dropdown menu empty - Yet Bookmarks are available in 'see all bookmarks'

Title pretty much says it all. If I go to the Opera menu in the top left > Bookmarks > My Folders, it just shows Empty. Same with every other folder in the bookmarks menu dropdown.
The bookmarks themselves are not gone. If I go into the bookmarks page by clicking 'show all bookmarks' the folders are still there, with all the bookmarks in them. The dropdown just stopped working altogether, besides showing the 'My Folders,' 'Imported Bookmarks' and 'Trash' folders; All of which are empty in the dropdown.
This is happening between every copy of Opera I have, in Beta, Developer, and across multiple computers. The newest versions of each release.
I've attempted uninstalling every version of Opera, clearing the profile information, and installing fresh, and even without syncing anything, none of the default bookmarks are showing up in the drop down, either. So maybe just a bug? Just wanted to know if anyone else was having this issue.

Ooooh, I had the exact same problem In Unity (Ubuntu Linux), where there's no Opera button, but instead several menus. Because several entries are missing (that's a bug) I thought this was a bug with just Opera in Unity too, but it wasn't!

Does anyone know when will this be fixed?
The bookmarks manager is working, we can edit/add/remove but we can not use the bookmarks because they do not show in the menu and i do not want to use the manager to access the bookmarks from the menu is much faster. -

Will the recently closed tabs option be restored to the dropdown menu? I don't see the point in removing that at all.

I don't think so.

For me it's make sense to put recent closed tabs in the tab menu.
Not really, because now you get a much shorter list of closed tabs, and it was far more efficient and fluid to access before, as the menu was located at the top left of the screen, not next to the minimize icon.

can confirm that this was a problem under the last beta, and is also a problem in the latest stable (30.0.1835.52) for linux too. quite inconvenient.

It's not good that problems like this comes all the way to the stable builds.

I had to add a sidebar extension to Opera to be able to even use it because it's unusable without easy access to the bookmarks.
