If you go to opera://plugins and click Show details, what does it say about Flash? Opera prefers the PPAPI version of Flash.

Youtube will sometimes use an HTML5 version of the video player, you can go to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and disable HTML5 to make sure it uses Flash.

I remember experiencing the plug-in problem when I came aboard. Turned out to be something stupid, although I can't remember what. Haven't had an issue since. Hope you have the same luck, now that it seems to be worked out.

I went into HTTPS/SSL and took a look around. I found something interesting. I clicked on the [Untrusted Publishers] and scrolled down and I find this: mail.google.com UTN-USERFirst-Hardw… 3/14/2014 Fraudulent and also www.google.com UTN-USERFirst-Hardw… 3/14/2014 Fraudulent

Apparently I was emptying history for the last hour...yes I feel stupid...so erased whole history from the beginning of time and was able to load and verify gmail and it is working fine now. Now just have to figure out why "couldn't load plug-in" still. I turned turbo on and the plug in image went from a circle with a cross in the middle to a play button, however, when I cicked the play button it reverted back to the circle with cross in it

Just for kicks. try disabling PPAPI and go with NPAPI. See if it makes any difference. It used to be a problem with me.

I am new Opera user, I just migrate from Chrome..

I facing the same problem, which adobe is not install correctly, and the plugin is not available.. I have google for solution , I even try manual installation, it does not work too.

finally, I managed to solve it by installing standalone flash player. My Opera 25.0.1614.71 Windows 7 32bit

Goto page http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html Current version : Flash Player 15.0.0.223 (Win and Mac) choose : Plugin-based browsers http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/installflashplayer15plugin.exe

Steps: 1. Close Opera 2. install the Standalone flash player,
                          3. Open opera, now the Adobe flash is available.

Update: I restarted computer and when I got back on a plug in site: Ex. http://portal.pixelfederation.com/trainstation/#

It told me I needed to update flash. So I went into flash downloader in Opera browser and downloaded (without chrome install) and it works fine now. note: When I got back on and found I needed to update flash I took a peak at control panel and it said all that was installed was npapi. So now that ppapi is installed I am off to restart again...crosses fingers

So after all that, when I log back in it takes at least a minute to load Opera. Of course I do the frantic double click because I am human so it loads 2 tabs. Anyway, I log on to http://portal.pixelfederation.com/trainstation/# and there is "Couldn't Load Plug-in" again 😕 So frustrating at this point

Btw before going through that last set of re downloads I had first deleted, all adobe flash and opera.

I am really not understanding why a company such as Opera would come out with a special log-in for flash. It is hard enough to peruse the Internet as is. Having to keep computers updated constantly, different browsers, pop-ups, plug-ins, extensions. It goes on and on and on. All we all want is a compatible browser with the rest of our compatible software. Why must this be so difficult? Shouldn't these issues be fixed before deciding to come out with a new version?

Opera does not have a special log in for flash. Opera uses the same version of Flash as Google Chrome does and does not require a log in.

Whatever. Maybe one day I will be back to Opera, but right now that looks dismal as Firefox and Chrome and working great for me now. Thank you for help
