      Hi

Why Opera Mobile have Google Chrome HTML5 player? i'm unhappy with the Chrome HTML5 player. i want to use Opera Player like from Opera Classic 12 or build-in Android player. i DON'T have Google Chrome installed on my device but i checked on other browser and it seems Chrome player is happen on all browsers and websites.

my device is running Android 4.4.4. i tried to downgrade my device to Android 4.1.2. the Android player is back and the Chrome player is gone forever but it is still happen on Opera Mobile. so does Opera Mobile replace the build-in player with Chrome HTML5 player in Android OS???

      please help me.

Hi evildog1 are you saying you're unhappy with how the <video> element is handled or is this specific to some site e.g. youtube? The Presto video element implementation is not coming back, but philip from Opera is one of the owners of the video module in Chromium so we do have influence there. Can you be a bit more specific about what it is that you don't like with the video player?

that sucks. i hate future things. why i don't like Chrominium because:

            • It can't live stream in HD. flash player and build-in player can live streaming in HD. HD works on non-live videos
            • Tap on screen to pause the video
            • forced to use Chrominium player even the website have external HTML5 player.
            • Does not have subtitles option
            • Auto-full screen
            • Auto load video in background (waste of data plan)

default player is auto full screen i like that

                It's the website's fault.

                Does not have subtitles option

                It's the website's fault too.

                Auto-full screen

                This is good for me.

Tap on screen to pause the video
Auto load video in background (waste of data plan)

On those I agree with you, it can be really be annoying...

I've noticed a lag when I exit from Chrome player without pausing the player, at least 5 seconds until player restart on website. Also at times YouTube HTML 5 content is playable and other times not (hang the browser), that being said for both Opera and Chrome Dev - check blog.opera.com, any YouTube video.
