What menu bar? There isn't one in newer versions of Opera. Same deal with work offline.

Adding to this rather than start new since these are the same two features I'm seeking. Got used to them in O-10 and this new version seems quite crippled.

@ax3 There is no menu bar in Opera since 2013, it's just past.

@ax3 And you visit sites offline by disconnecting your internet. If the pages are cached then you may be able to see them.

You can also save the pages so that you can view them while offline.

                Not acceptable.

If you'll recall the old O-10, there was a menu selection to 'work offline'. I use that extensively even now when using that old version which still seems superior to this one in many ways.

When closing that version, I select 'work offline' first. Then when opening the browser after a PC start, it opens all of the previous tabs, but doesn't populate any of them until I want it to after going back 'online'. That saves it from hogging resources by trying to load 20 or 30 tabs at once..

This version has a few small advantages, but runs far behind O-10 overall.

Suggesting that one disable their network connection manually is not helpful.

@y0y0 By the way, I found that there IS a Menu Bar available as an Extension that seems to work fine so far.

I don't find a Work Offline Extension though, so maybe someone can create one.

@y0y0 I don't think you can add a work offline feature using an extension but you can always try.

You can right-click on the webpage and select Save as. A dialog will appear and you can save your webpage for offline viewing. As of the menu bar, that has been eliminated years ago and is not necessary in modern times.

Not what I'm looking for as explained above.

                        Disagree. I use it frequently.

I have no idea how to create extensions, so I was asking if there is a place to request someone who does know to look into it.

Also,l I'm not a new user. I've been a member here for 10 years or so and should not be subject to a post limit timer..

@y0y0 You can try asking in the extensions section.

However, like I said, I don't think that an extension will be able to add such feature.
