bbildman last edited byWhen I do a search it always opens in Google.es (Spain). Is there a way to change this to Google.com for the default search page in O28??

A Former User last edited byFind your "Opera local state" file and change the language codes here: "location": { "country": "br", "country_from_server": "BR",Right, Steve?

A Former User last edited byIt's just called "Local State" (no extension) and should be in your {Opera Folder}\Profile\Data folder.

jimbibb last edited byI found the Local State file and it is two pages of code which mean nothing to me. How do I apply it to my problem? Al my Excel files feature the Opera logo 0 but when I open the file Opera tells me to save it. It already is saved. It is rendered useless. I have Opera on my other computer (XP OS) and have no similar problem.

A Former User last edited byAlso I changed the ES to US, closed Opera down and when I opened it up again, it still went to google.es, and the local state file had reverted to the ES configuration. I guess you shall close the browser first.

Try opening it with something that has a search tool first: find the line and remember where it is.
You can edit those right there, of course, and then copypaste the whole thing back, but I'd be cautious if some encoding matters or like that.
(You could copy the file somewhere first - in case.)

bbildman last edited byjoshi, yes, closing Opera down first, and then saving the local state file, then reopening O28 did the trick, thanks
