So I use the function for keeping tabs saved for when I reopen opera. And I guess starting sometime in the last few days when I reopen opera the speed dial tab is not saved and goes to the next tab over that I have. Which is incredibly annoying because I always have a few youtube tabs open, and before closing the browser I open a new tab so that when I reopen opera it'll open on the new tab instead of opening up onto a youtube tab and immediately playing the video. It's quite annoying that now I have to make sure I don't just open a new tab to sit there but I have to go to like google or something so that'll it'll actually save that tab for reopening. It's something that I can used to, but it's just a completely pointless change that causes a frustration, and a completely pointless change that causes a frustration imo is more even more annoying.

@ryanstan The option to open a speed dial/start page tab is selected?

I think I'm seeing the issue too on Windows. After a few opening and closings of Opera, "Display start page first" is not having any effect and Opera behaves like it's off where it removes all start page tabs on close and doesn't open up a start page tab on open.

Deleting the "Sessions" folder fixes it until it happens again.

I'm testing with example.com as the only tab or that and a start page tab.

In Opera 127 (tried Opera 132 that I had laying around and in Opera developer and they both have the issue too) it works as expected.

Another way to trigger it might be to disable "Display start page first", close Opera, start it back up, enable it again, close Opera and start it back up. But, it could just be the number of restarts.
