Opera keeps lagging and eating up memory

I used to have 30 tabs open at a time and I faced 0 issues. Now I can have 10 open and it starts acting super slow. Checking the task manager, Opera is just taking up 5GB worth of memory. The lag is horrible. This can't be an issue with the computer, everything else works awesomely. How to fix this?

@mmmatukas menu - developer - task manager or shift escape.

See if there is any process using too much RAM or CPU

@leocg Had the issue on normal opera too but right now I'm on GX. There's nothing in particular, opera is around 3-4gb of memory and it's the highest of all. The next app is just 0,3gb.

@mmmatukas So there is no process running in Opera that is using too much RAM? So maybe there are just many processes running using a normal amount of RAM?
