Hardware Secure Decryption not suppport on opera?

Hardware Secure Decryption can be enabled and works normally on Chrome, allowing Netflix to achieve 4K HDR. However, although this feature can be enabled in Opera's flags, it does not work

@Bitcoin325 As far as I know, it's up to Netflix (or any other stream service) to decide if a browser will be able to get better resolutions or not.

@Bitcoin325 Right, hardware secure decryption may be needed to play 4K videos, but be allowed by Netflix is also needed.

@leocg PlayReady is the most important component, and Chrome already supports it. Opera does not seem to offer it yet, even though the core is the same

@Bitcoin325 Yep, I don't think Opera (and many other browsers probably) has it yet and, I guess, will take some time for that to be implemented.

Yeah, that’s a known thing, Opera uses the same base as Chrome but doesn’t have proper Widevine L1 support, so even if you enable hardware secure decryption, it won’t actually work for Netflix 4K. Best bet is to just use Chrome or Edge for that.
