G'day, I'm not very conversant with computers, you could say that I was a Luddite when it comes to them.

So, my problem is youtube, ads are appearing at the start of playing the program. This has started late yesterday (28/07/2025).

Previously I had no problems and was quite happy in using Opera (at one stage I lost sound while playing youtube videos and it took about 6 months for the sound to magically appear again).

What buttons, what page, what settings do I have to go to for the ads to cease again.

Please use simple language and instructions for me solve this problem or I will have to go to duckduckgo to watch my youtube videos.

@vader1950 There is nothing you can do beside wait for the adblocker to be updated and able block YouTube ads again.

You can try installing an adblocker extension and use it until the same issue start to happen.

i use only this TWO addons to block any ADS:

Sorry, as I've said not very cluey on computer systems. What ever opera program on my PC, that's about the best I could do.
