Hello, I deleted Opera and reinstalled it. After installing it, when I opened Opera, my search engine was Yandex. I changed it in the settings. When I opened a new tab, the search engine was still stuck on Yandex. When I looked at the settings again, it showed Google as the search engine. When I tried to delete Yandex, I logged out of the application. When I re-entered, I couldn't delete any search engines. How can I change my search engine in Opera to Google?

@mehmet4416 As already said, search engine in start page/speed dial can't be changed.

Also, pre-defined search engines can't be removed.

I'm facing a similar issue. Even after setting Google as the default, the start page still shows Yandex. It’s a bit confusing since the settings show Google, but the behavior doesn’t match. I hope Opera adds more flexibility in managing search engines in future updates.

@JakeMiller123 The setting is to change the search engine used when you search in address bar, the one in start page can't be changed.
