Dark mode (updates?) make text impossible to read on major websites

It's been a few days since the Opera dark mode has made many major websites hard to read. Here is the CNN website as it appears with dark theme and forced dark mode

I also experience this on www.parentfromheart.com
But if I scroll, the text eventually appears, and if the text is off screen, it disappears. Please fix this. -
angelawrites last edited by@duduehshdwu Mine has done that for the longest time and it drives me crazy bc my only option is to go into Reader Mode bc removing it from Night Mode gives me a migraine instantly.

Going into reader mode won't give you the complete information on that webpage. Some necessary information are sometimes cut out of you go into reader mode. That's why I just avoid going into reader mode.
Will going into night mode fix this dark mode issue. -

Dark mode still needs some development in Opera (in 2025). For now this is a no-go for me and will use Firefox instead as it has a functional dark mode. I will check in the future if this feature is fixed or not in Opera.
