Get 'Please wait...' when trying to enable Sync

I've been trying to enable sync on Opera GX for, ages. It's been saying 'Please wait...' for the entire time, and will not load, at all. I've already closed the browser. It will not sync, at all. I've consulted Google, and yet they give no answer, I consult the forums, still none other than a two year old post with no working answers.

It's been open for a few hours, non-stop. It still says it.

Been about a day. Got worse (somehow).
