Can't restore data from backup

I'm fresh after a format. Before I did format my main drive I copied the contents of my Opera folders. I have the files for bookmarks, sessions, extensions etc, but opera does not help me in any way when it comes to reading them and getting all my data back. I tried to import them from those files but quite literally nothing happens.
When I open those files with text editor I can see all my bookmarks, so I know I have them. Please someone help me... I'm going crazy here... -

Finally fixed it. Used a online tool and converted my bookmarks.bat into an html file, which finally worked. I feel so light now I could fly.

@Nhire For history, you can replace the "History" file in the profile folder (path to profile folder is shown at the URL
opera://about
) with the "History" file in your backup. If that doesn't work though, you're out of luck as far as history goes. For extensions, you need to reinstall them. The only way they will work from a backup is if you use the backup on the same user account (with the same password) on the same installation of your operating system. If anything is different (in your case, everything is different after the format) the backup is useless as far as extensions go.
