Before I did format my main drive I copied the contents of my Opera folders. I have the files for bookmarks, sessions, extensions etc, but opera does not help me in any way when it comes to reading them and getting all my data back. I tried to import them from those files but quite literally nothing happens.
When I open those files with text editor I can see all my bookmarks, so I know I have them. Please someone help me... I'm going crazy here...

For extensions, you need to reinstall them from the backup.

Didn't you back up the whole profile directory? Didn't you back up the Bookmarks file?

If that doesn't work though, you're out of luck as far as history goes.

For extensions, you need to reinstall them. The only way they will work from a backup is if you use the backup on the same user account (with the same password) on the same installation of your operating system. If anything is different (in your case, everything is different after the format) the backup is useless as far as extensions go.

And you can not get your data back?

So you don't see any bookmarks in the bookmarks page, for example?
