Same problem, I get it when:
a. DevTools is already open
b. I click the F12 keyBrowser closes and then reopens.

This bug is now making Opera unusable for development purposes.
I've now given up waiting for a patch and have reinstalled a December 2024 version of Opera instead, over the current version.
I went to this version: https://get.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera_gx/115.0.5322.113/win/
DevTools is now working OK.

@tomaustin Alas if I downgrade Opera, autoupdate kicks in and restores the latest version.
Frankly I don't understand why Opera cannot solve this problem, obviously it is a regression, the version where it started is well known, just have to look at version control. -

@rumgezuzzl sadly, you're right. It worked for about 20-30 minutes, and then autoupdate (which one can't switch off) came along and ruined things.
Opera Devs -- is anyone there? Is anyone looking at this?

Just updated form 115.0.5322.119 to 116.0.5366.35
I have the same issue in both versions: Right click on any page to 'inspect' in an external DevTools window. 1st 'inspect' is ok. If I do a second 'inspect' while external DevTools window is open, Opera closes an reopens with blank page.If DevTools is not in an external window this bug doesn't appear.

Is anyone else having a problem when they already have DevTools open and click Ctrl+Shift+i again? For me, Opera closes completely when I do this, and when it happens sometimes I even lose sessions in applications like WhatsApp, Telegram, ChatGPT, etc.
I opened a ticket 1 month ago, but it remains static (no reading, same status, no response and the problem persists)

I have been trying to open Opera since yesterday, but it crashes every time, regardless of the tab or even the settings I try to open. I've tried restarting my PC, uninstalling and reinstalling Opera, even the latest version downloaded from the website, but nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions?
I have Opera on Windows 11.
Thanks.
