I just installed Opera to Windows 11 and it insisted I set up a new password for my email.

Is the new password now affecting all browsers, browsers and email clients or only when I log in via Opera?

@Claptrap1 Only your email service can ask you to change your email password.

@leocg I just downloaded Opera for Windows from its site. How do I know which one it is?

@leocg That's why I was surprised. But there was no other way of getting further with the installation: they sent me an OTP!

The whole set-up felt dodgy to be honest - maybe the site wasn't real one as I did it by Google search... Should I uninstall it?

I only have an old Malwarebytes installed, the free version, I don't remember when it was updated, but it hasn't found anything.

@leocg Thank you for the link. No, I didn't think of taking a screenshot... Maybe it's time to change my password anyway.
                    Thanks for the reply.

@Claptrap1 And you are no longer being asked to change your email password?

When and where exactly were you asked to do that?

@leocg No, it was only once during the set up, although I don't understand what was it I needed to set up? I am getting notifications for this forum to that email now, though, but I don't access my emails via Opera - and any emails I get from the company, well, they don't need my email for it any more than Firefox, Edge, Chrome or DuckGo - NONE of them has asked my email for anything!

@Claptrap1 I just checked if I can get into my google account: I didn't need to even provide a password! And it seems I'm signed into my Google account. The whole point was to take a break from Daddy Google!
