      So frustrating. When I hit reply my signature goes to the bottom - under the received message. How do I change that?

      I still want my signature on the reply message - but under my reply... Please help! Thank you and happy new year!

        In the file accounts.ini you could edit the quote header to include your name and whatever on a line above the quote header itself (the part that says "On /date/, /sender name/ wrote:") It would be simple text - no HTML or graphics - but isn't hard.

          Thank you - but this is for a business signature at the bottom of my email.

            Business means graphical, or not?

              Thanks for the tip. So does this mean the signature would be limited to only one line?

                The header is not limited. Use C-style escapes, as in /n for newline, etc. There may be a maximum total length, but you probably wouldn't want a 15-line signature before the quoted text anyway.

                  Tried to edit the file, had no effect. Still only seeing the default signature.

                    Make sure Opera is closed when you edit the file. Also, make sure you edit the Reply= line under the [Account n] section in question.

                    For example:

                    Reply=\n\n\n-laingman\n\nOn %:Date:, %f wrote:

                    If you then don't want the regular signature at the end of the message, unset it in the signature editor in the account's properties and manually enter a signature when you compose a new message.

                      Thanks guys. I got it for reply. So it seems like I would use the regular signature for compose and would want to set it to remove built in signature on reply. Right? To avoid having signatures all over the place

                      I see a value for remove signaure on reply set to 0, I tried different values but none seem to work. Any one knows what this should be set to or if it even works.

                      edit: I use auto hotkey to insert signature, but would be nice not to have to use that method for compose signature

                        Remove signature on reply is to remove their signature from the quoted text.

                          their signature

                          And, 'their signature' is defined as 2 hyphens and a space ("-- ") and everything after it.
