Google Account Login Attempts from Russia

Recently, I received two notifications of attempts to access my Google account while I was trying to log into a site using the "Sign in with Google" option. The issue is that these attempts showed they were coming from Russia, even though I was using Opera's VPN.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned about the security of my account? I'm particularly worried because, although it happened at the same time, two login requests appeared (two verification numbers to accept on the Google account).

Could it be that Opera's VPN is redirecting my location to Russia, or does this suggest that someone else is trying to access my account?

@Umbus The location is just a guess from the site, based on the IP address.
