My HDD crashed and I had to re-install the OS/all programs. My Opera installation is a big blank slate of nothing.
Thanks in advance

Probably no help NOW...but I back up the folder : .....App Data > Roaming > Opera Software > Opera Developer {IN MY CASE}, to anything that will hold it. Usually my L/T.
Then anytime I install [that version] of Opera on a computer and run the program, a new App Data folder is created. I then rename the folder ANYTHING...[EEEEE] or the like, and literally transplant my backed up folder copy into the App Data...VIOLA! Not only your Speed Dial, but ALL your old settings and selections are 'surgically' installed!
Easier to do than to describe, BUT you do gotta have that folder copy of when everything was right. Put it on a USB dongle if nothing else.

Many thanks for the replies; I was able to find the "favorites.db", on my older PC, copy/paste/replace the empty one db on the new installation and voila! Speed Dial updated.
Thank you.

Hello,
my problem with speed dial is slightly different: I did copy my "favorites.db" and "bookmarks.bak", but after installing new version of opera there are no files to replace. In new version I've got something like "speeddial.ini". How do I convert the data? I'll be very grateful for help
