grierzo last edited byI don't know about the original poster but I would not know how to answer that question. Surely if they uninstalled flash and reinstall it they will get the better option?
How can you see which one it is? I use a several browsers, and recently updated flash from the adobe website, but then a pop up appeared which looked like no adobe update I had ever seen before telling me I needed to update flash player. I ignored it as I had only just updated. Could it have been these two different types used by different browsers?

linuxmint7 last edited byType 'opera://plugins' into the address bar and look for 'Adobe Flash Player'. Next to the 'Type' heading it should say either 'PPAPI (out-of-process)' or 'NPAPI'.

oldleatherneck last edited byThis is what it says on the "Plug-ins" page. Adobe Flash Player
 Version: 16.0.0.235
Shockwave Flash 16.0 rI can't figure out how to tell if it's PPAPI or NPAPI whichever one I have must be the wrong one because if I don't have it disabled my computer, (Opera) won't stop crashing even for a minute.

A Former User last edited byGo here - http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Select "Windows 7/Vista/XP/2007/2008" and then select "FP 16 for Opera and Chromium - PPAPI".
Don't forget to un-tick the "optional offer" of McAfee Security Scan unless you actually want it!

oldleatherneck last edited byWell I rolled the dice and installed "Windows 7/Vista/XP2008/2003". The photo editing website I use "PicMonkey" tells me I still need Flash and when I try to watch a video on facebook it tells me "Flash player upgrade required". I'm having no luck, ideas anyone?

leocg Moderator Volunteer last edited byYou meant Windows 7/Vista/XP2008/2003 right? Go to http://get.adobe.com/br/flashplayer/ using Opera and you must see the correct one to download.

oldleatherneck last edited byWhat do you mean I "must see" the one to download? Using the link davehawley provided there was only 5 to choose from. And I was in Opera when I selected and made the download.
