I used to use opera and I loved it. But for the past year I have been using another browser that's trash and I'm considering going back to Chrome because it's so bad. A year ago or so I updated either Opera or my computer and I've just never been able to sync anything or import passwords.
I just downloaded Opera again hoping it would be fixed but it's not. I've googled and tried what people have said but nothing works. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. It also doesn't save any login info when I close the browser.
It says the passwords imported but there are no passwords. when I manually try and add a password that does not work either. Does anyone know what the issue is???

@samsi101 I understand you frustration! I just got a new mac. installed opera. signed in to opera. Opera wont sync with anything currently happening in the same logged in account that my windows 10 computer has seemingly sync'd to. On the mac, in opera, i've checked the box to "sync everything", but somehow opera changes the setting back to "sync nothing". I had to manually export the passwords from the windows 10 computer using opera's .csv file export and importing them into opera on the mac and that was successful. Still nothing sync's even though i'm logged into the same account. Not sure whats going on.

@peterbb I can't do anything with imported bookmarks either. This is what I see when I imported from a Dashlane .csv file. It just lists a bunch of bookmarks. It doesn't make them live in any way. If I click on any one of them it asks me for a password. I would have to enter a password for all of them, hundreds!

@peterbb There's this known Mac issue with passwords that can affect cookies and Sync too.
