Scroll bars too thin.

The scroll bar is very thin, making clicking difficult. And the internal windows have thinner bars.... Very annoying... Can anyone tell me how to increase the width? How did someone not notice this?

Yes. I do not comprehend the stubborn, obstinate, foolishness of denying users the ability to set this. It is absurd.

@yuki301 browsers usually don't have a setting for it.

and set it to Disabled. Then restart Opera.

@leocg That's true enough. But there are chromium based browsers that do not interfere with extensions, or with Windows utilities, which can make adjustments. It just seems like the Opera people want to be stubborn about this, which leaves me, "Why on earth?".

@aokog This does seem to improve things. But it doesn't allow the Custom Scrollbars extension to work universally across the browser. The pages where that extension doesn't work now show a slightly thicker scrollbar than before I followed your advice, but not nearly as thick as the Custom Scrollbar setting I'm using, which works on some sites but not on others.

@aokog The bar in the main window, it looks cool, it has increased. But the internals remain thin.

@leocg But from the moment they are modifying the design, they should make it available. Whatever worked must be backed up. It's very stupid not to allow users to customize their appearance.

@fabioaj I don't think browsers have to allow users to customize anything, it's always an extra, a plus that they offer and never an obligation.

@leocg There are no laws of course. But it's pretty obvious reading threads posted on almost any bit of software offered by anyone that user customization is popular. One would wonder why anyone would buck this preference.

And especially, since the PC/Mac is not extinct, one would wonder what appeal a razor-thin scrollbar that cannot be customized would have, unless one liked aggravating people, I guess.

I could understand, if a developer was thick enough to believe that everyone used a phone, thus screen real estate is ultra valuable, and PC/Mac users ... well, the heck with them.
